A bustling and energetic city, bursting at the seams with culture, exotic aromas and charming locals, Marrakech takes away all sense of direction, and replaces it with intrigue and enchantment.

Walk along the winding covered streets and alleyways in the old historic district of Medina to discover an abundance of souks, wander through the architectural and historical sites that line the city such as the Saadian Tombs and the Koutoubia Minaret, or head into the heart of Marrakech, where paths are dominated by street vendors, snake charmers, soothsayers and food stalls, whilst visions of stunning mosques and mountainous backdrops complete this magical city.

Kuoni Insider

When you’ve taken in the atmosphere of Djemaa el-Fna in Marrakech, walk on into the narrow alleyways (souks) for a unique taste of local life.

Colourful stalls laid out with hand made souvenirs waiting for you to use your skills to barter for the best price, it takes practice but wow…there are bargains to be had! When you think you’ve had enough, step through the big, ornate ancient door of your Riad to find another world waiting for you. Peace and tranquility, beautifully designed boutique properties offering such luxury, just that step away from the hustle and bustle. My ideal place for a long weekend, if I can't spare longer.
