Situated on the island of Lesvos in the Northern Aegean Sea, The Neilson Aeolian Village Beachclub in Lesvos is far removed from the hustle and bustle of the better-known islands and is a firm favourite with new and returning guests.

Sailors and windsurfers of all abilities will enjoy the extensive sailing area and consistent cross-offshore winds, while the surrounding hills are great for mountain biking with a wide variety of trails to explore.

Key information

The charming village of Skala Eressos is just a ten-minute walk away offering a relaxed combination of stylish bars and restaurants,traditional tavernas and cafés, which extend out over the sea on bamboo decking and stilts. Testament to the island's volcanic past are a large number of hot therapeutic springs and a petrified forest, with fossilised trees dating back some 15 million years.

Activities

Dinghy Sailing

Flat water and light off shore winds make an ideal environment for beginner sailors. The wind is consistent and builds steadily throughout the day with great dinghy sailing for intermediate and advanced sailors most afternoons and a wide choice of equipment, tuition and clinics.

If you are already comfortable sailing a dinghy, the advanced clinics can further develop your skills. Sessions are scheduled to utilise the stronger afternoon winds and run in a clinic format to offer coaching in spinnakers, race starts, rudderless sailing and catamarans.

Windsurfing

Flat water and light off shore winds make an ideal environment for windsurfing beginners. The wind is consistent and builds steadily throughout the day with great conditions for intermediate and advanced windsurfers most afternoons and a wide choice of tuition and clinics.

Mountain Biking

There are a multitude of fantastic routes in and around the local area and the Neilson guided biking programme offers something for all levels and abilities. Morning rides set a gentle pace, taking in scenic trails to outlying local villages or more challenging, longer routes into the hills of the islands interior.

Alternatively, you may take the bikes freeriding and explore the island at your own pace with route cards covering the full range of rides available, graded according to fitness and skill level.

Tennis

There are 2 astro-court tennis courts and 1 hard court, all are floodlit to extend hours of play into the evenings. Neilson offer offer a fully inclusive coaching programme for all abilities, from complete beginner to regular club player, with LTA (Lawn Tennis Association) or PTR (Professional Tennis Registry) qualified tennis coaches. Use of the tennis courts and all group coaching is included in the price of your holiday; all abilities will have an hour’s group tuition every day with free use of the courts outside of group tuition hours.

Kayaking & Stand Up Paddle Boarding

Paddle a kayak or stand up paddleboard down the beach towards the village of Skala Eressos for a refreshing drink at one of the beachfront cafes or join the Neilson team for a kayak safari.

There are 30 one and two seater kayaks and some stand up paddleboards available for you to use.

Fitness & Swimming

There is a small gym and a range of fitness classes available every day including aqua aerobics, Zumba, Pilates and body conditioning. Neilson fitness coaches are also available for personal training and fitness assessments. There is a Neilson qualified swimming coach is available to teach, build confidence and improve technique.

Treatments and Wellness

The Aeolian Village Beachclub has three treatment rooms, a hydro bath, sauna and outdoor massage area. There are a wide range of treatments available from deep tissue sports massage to Hopi ear candles as well as beauty essentials, poolside and Temple Spa treatments. Use of facilities is complimentary, treatments are charged to your room.

Club board consisting of daily breakfast, daily lunch and four evening meals is included each week. Your inclusive evening meals are on the following days:
