Maturing like a fine wine, the laid-back and traditional-in-style Kontokali Bay has been welcoming guests for over 50 years. The stunning beach, clear waters, superb Greek food and ease of exploring all combine to create a classic Corfu experience. This is the type of place that people return to time and again, with a friendly welcome – many of the all-Corfiot hotel staff have worked here for years – and the feeling of being in a place where you’re treated like friends rather than guests. Thanks to its peninsula setting, there’s a stunning view at nearly every turn – the marina to the west, the coastline to the east – and the elevated pool offers hypnotic views over it all.

Why we love Kontokali Bay Resort & Spa

The resort is a 20-minute drive from Corfu Town, making it an ideal base for cultural explorations.
It’s set between the beach and marina, with a number of watersports on offer as well as various land activities, from tennis to dance workshops.
It’s great for families, thanks to a dedicated Children’s Village and Mini Club offering daily activities.
The spa is excellent, with a big choice of treatments plus two saunas, a steam room, adult-only pool and more.

The accommodation here is wonderfully simple and classic in style and there are 261 rooms and suites in either the resort’s main building or in bungalows scattered around the grounds. There are Garden and Bay View Rooms (and even garden view rooms that have a private pool on the terrace) but we highly recommend going for a sea view or sea front room to make the most of those stunning Ionian Views. If you’re travelling as a family, there are dedicated rooms with a couple of sofa beds in the living area, while small groups should consider choosing an Executive or Presidential Two Bedroom Suite, the latter of which has a private pool.
