This self-drive package includes a personalised Canada driving road book which consists of: A city overview and sightseeing information, discount vouchers for attractions (where applicable), provincial road maps, maps of airport and city centres with hotel locations indicated, access to a toll-free customer service line. You’ll receive on arrival in your first hotel. If you choose a tailor-made itinerary, the pack can be included at a small additional charge.
This is an unescorted, independent journey and no Kuoni representative will be available. Transfers are not included so upon arrival at each destination you will be required to make your own way to your hotel and you will also be required to independently reconfirm any arrangements locally.
This itinerary can also be done in a motorhome.
VICTORIA Make your way to the capital of British Columbia, Victoria, which is set on the south coast of beautiful Vancouver Island. You’ll have two nights here to soak up the colonial charm and marine heritage. During your full day in the city enjoy an included Zodiac cruise, accompanied by a marine biologist, in search of marine life including orca, minke and grey whales (viewings are seasonal).
TOFINO A scenic drive awaits as you travel across Vancouver Island to The Pacific Coast. Drive through ancient rainforests, provincial parks and The Pacific Rim National Park into true wildlife territory en route to Tofino where you‘ll spend two nights. From here, join a boat trip to the coastal feeding grounds of the
island‘s black bears and hopefully spot one or more of these majestic creatures.
SONORA RESORT Back on dry land, drive along the winding road back to the east coast of Vancouver Island to the quaint town of Campbell River. From here take the short boat journey to Sonora Resort. During your time here you can enjoy an eco-tour of the surrounding wilderness (early May-late Aug) or a bear watching by boat tour (late Aug-mid Oct).
VANCOUVER Return to Vancouver Island and catch the ferry to Vancouver where you will spend two nights. Your time here is free to explore at your own pace.
