Your suggested itinerary

Day 1 Johannesburg

On arrival, transfer to your conveniently located hotel. The afternoon is free to relax or discover Jozi, as the locals call it. Overnight at Peermont D’Oreale Grande Hotel.

Day 2 – 4 Makalali Private Game Reserve

Fly to Hoedspruit Airport where a private transfer will take you to your home from home for the next three nights, aha Makalali River Lodge. This private game lodge is the perfect base from which to enjoy an unforgettable safari experience. Head out on twice daily game drives searching for the world-famous Big Five, as well as zebra, kudu, hippo, hyena and a wealth of bird species. In the evenings, enjoy dinner in the boma listening to the sounds of wildlife in the distance. Overnight at aha Makalali River Lodge.

Day 5 Greater Kruger & Johannesburg

After your final morning game drive, return to Hoedspruit Airport for your flight to Johannesburg. The afternoon is free to relax or perhaps visit Soweto, the township Nelson Mandela used to call home, or the extremely moving Apartheid Museum. Overnight at Peermont D’Oreale Grande Hotel.

Day 6 – 10 Mauritius

Fly direct from Johannesburg to Mauritius. Upon arrival you will be transferred to your comfortable adults-only hotel on the East coast where you will spend the next five nights. Relax and soak up the sunshine, swim in the beautiful pool, pamper yourself in the Yiang spa (at additional cost, payable locally), try out watersports including paddle boarding, snorkelling and sea kayking. Overnight at Solana Beach Mauritius.

Day 11 Mauritius & Departure

Transfer back to the airport for your flight home.
