About this independent tour
This itinerary operates on a private basis, but you may be travelling with other passengers on game drives at Kapama Game Reserve. It includes a direct flight from Johannesburg to Seychelles or Mauritius.
CAPE TOWN One of the most vibrant cities in the world, Cape Town is packed full with culture, natural beauty and world-class dining. Bask in the panoramic views from the top of Table Mountain, taste your way around the award-winning restaurants and visit Robben Island for some moving history. Further afield, stop by the socialite spot of Camps Bay for a day at the beach and go wine tasting in the Cape Winelands on a day trip.
NATIONAL PARKS AND GAME RESERVES Experience incredible safaris with some of the most spectacular backdrops in a variety of private Game Reserves – from the world-famous Kruger area to malaria-free reserves in the Eastern Cape and Madikwe. Expert guides and trackers accompany you on twice-daily game drives where you can hope to see the Big Five as well as its smaller residents on guided bush walks.
SEYCHELLES In the Seychelles, you’ll find some of the most beautiful beaches in the world. Island hopping is the best way to uncover the delights of each island; hike the tropical Morne Blanc Trail on Mahé, visit idyllic beaches on Praslin and hang out with the giant Aldabra tortoises on mountainous Sihouette Island.
MAURITIUS For a small island, Mauritius is bursting with history, natural attractions and plenty of diverse cultures. Try food that’s been influenced by a melting pot of culinary traditions and immerse yourself in local life in Port Louis, the lively capital where the Central Market is a treat for the senses. There are also world-class hotels with great all-inclusive options and excellent golfing.
ACCOMMODATION Our suggested hotels have great locations to make it easy as possible to get around. For example, in Cape Town, you’ll get to make the most of Cape Town at the Victoria & Alfred Hotel right on the waterfront, or explore the heart of the city from Pepperclub Hotel & Spa.
At Kapama Game Reserve, you can choose from three different lodges to suit your taste – Kapama Buffalo Camp is small and romantic with luxurious tented suites, Kapama Southern Camp is wonderfully modern with thatched suites and villas and access to the exceptional Kapama Karula Spa, and Kapama River Lodge has an old-Africa vibe by the seasonal Kapama River.
