Walt Disney World Swan
A modern mega-resort
Take a leisurely stroll to Disney’s Hollywood Studios and EPCOT from this exceedingly well-positioned hotel within the boundaries of Walt Disney World.
While it’s not strictly a Disney hotel (Marriott manages it), Walt Disney World Swan is still considered a Disney Deluxe Resort and benefits from extended park hours and complimentary Disney transportation. It’s a vast resort that shares its facilities with neighbouring Walt Disney World Dolphin and Walt Disney World Swan Reserve. Being part of this trio of resorts opens up an impressive choice of 23 restaurants and bars, six pools, a sandy beach, three gyms, recreational facilities galore, and a beautiful spa. It’s worth noting that the resort’s restaurants aren’t included in the Disney Dining Plans.
Why we love Walt Disney World Swan
-
Six pools provide the perfect respite from the Florida sunshine, with luxury cabanas available to hire. A waterslide and poolside games keep everyone entertained when you’re taking a breather from the parks.
-
Unlike other Disney resorts, evening childcare is available in Camp Dolphin for ages five to 12, and babysitting services can be arranged.
-
You can walk (or hop on a boat) to Disney’s Hollywood Studios and EPCOT and take advantage of extra time in the parks before and after hours, just for guests of Disney’s Deluxe Resorts, like this one.
-
The rooms are bright and modern in a tasteful palette of blue and grey and with famously comfy Westin Heavenly Beds.
Rooms
There are 756 rooms, including 55 suites, all housed within a large building topped by two enormous swan sculptures. The rooms are tastefully decked out with modern finishes and blue and grey furnishings. Although all rooms accommodate at least four guests, families may appreciate the extra floor space that the Family Rooms offer. And if you want a furnished balcony, you’ll need to upgrade to a Deluxe room, which is particularly recommended if you opt for a room with a view of EPCOT.
Facilities
The 23 restaurants and bars, shared with its two sister hotels, take you around the world in a whirlwind of Japanese, American, Italian, and Mexican menus. There’s something for every occasion, whether you’re looking for a premium sit-down meal in the evening, an on-the-go breakfast before hitting the parks, or a quick burger by the pool.
