We went there after our stay at the Sands for dinner to celebrate my husband’s birthday. We were welcomed to a sumptious aperitif followed by a great dinner. Dhavish from F&B was superb. The surprise birthday cake was so yummy. Thanks to the Maradiva team for this great evening. We will come back for sure very soon. Keep up the great work team.
No consistency with food, nice suite, poor experience
We stayed here for 2 weeks, in quarantine (so isolated to suite). The suite and outdoor area is beautiful and very well designed. The outdoor seating was in need of renewing - there were visible tears and stains. The food ranged from excellent to poor. I ordered camaron on 3 occasions and each time was presented with completely different dishes. One time I got plain boiled rice and unseasoned camaron. It was as if the chef forgot to actually make the food. Breakfast started well and declined over the course of our stay - the food actually changed. Hash browns on day one came in panco breadcrumbs and by the end of the trip it was as if they were from McDonalds. We were not offered afternoon tea until we asked. When we did have it, it consisted of 2 crepes with Nutella and a pot of coffee. It was really very poor and I wish we took more photos. I expected much more. Our pool had algie and needed to be cleaned and filtered twice during our stay. But it was a delight having it at the foot of the bedroom! A dog ate my partner's shoe, as there are dogs that can access the outdoor area. When we raised this to management they laughed and said that 'thats the dogs'! They took no further action and made out it was our own fault. This was very poor and absolutely not what you expect for the cost/5* rating. As we were isolated to our room it would have been nice to have additional services. Other Mauritian hotels have put on live music and entertainment for guests during quarantine. The Maradiva did nothing. It was a huge oversight and gave no value added. There is ample space in the middle of the villas to out on a show/entertain guests. Our butler was fantastic. Really took care of us and our child. Our child missed him when we left. Overall, nice environment but very unsatisfied with food and overall service. We would not stay again as we have seen first hand that other (cheaper and lower rated) hotels in Mauritius, and even Flic-en-Flac, provide a better service. Resting on its reputation is what springs to mind.
Dear Maradiva Team. Thank you for the hospitality for our honeymoon stay. From awesome breakfasts to the kindness and friendlyness of the staff team, the magic hands of the masseurs. Private pool, privacy to its max. The animals of the resorts make it even more oustanding. Special thanks to the kitchen Chef and his team, Ms. Jessica and much love the Mr. Raj, the responsible for the front desk without whom our wedding photoshoot would not be possible. Until our next visit, keep the great work going.
What an amazing experience
Visited for dinner. Chef Vij(Vijay) made food which was one of best we tasted on the island. Simply amazing service and super amazing food. What an ambience. Each decor was so beautifully done that it was like an art piece. Will go again and again.
Really amazed by the service. Great food. we loved our villa so much. An overwhelming serenity.Fantastic team. keep up the great work. We walked from one end to the other end of the resort. It was beautiful at every step. The villas are amazing. They did our room at night. i so wanted a watermelon fresh juice. They even got one and served me the next day. Chef Kelly is outstanding. I felt like a hungry kid watching her at the Tepan restaurant. Great team,very courtois,customer centred be it the housekeeping,the concierge,the restaurants and the spa. They heeded to our needs. It is difficulted to please kids with their food expectations. They heeded to our demands everytime and not losing one inch of their smile. Good luck,Well done and stay safe
