Restaurants & bars
What could be more exclusive than a restaurant that’s only accessible by boat? Edge is NIYAMA’s floating restaurant, offering modern cuisine with local flavours, with dining inside against floor-to-ceiling windows, outdoor dining on the jetty and a chill-out bar. Tribal creates a luxury campfire dining experience with outdoor hot-rock grills, live cooking, dining pods for two set directly by the beach and South American, Asian and African flavours. Epicure offers relaxed all-day international dining by the pool and The Deli provides a range of gourmet snacks and treats to take away. The three bars each offer something quite different – Dune is a chilled-out beach hub, Fahrenheit is a cool rooftop bar with ocean views, and of course there’s the epic underwater den, Subsix.
BLU offers all-day family-friendly dining around the pool, with Mediterranean-inspired dishes and a poolside ice-cream parlour packed with home-made treats from smoothies to crêpes. Nest is a real one-of-a-kind in the Maldives – a modern, multi-level treehouse in the heart of the jungle, with private pods suspended six metres from the ground and domed pavilions hidden amongst the trees, where you can enjoy a range of Asian specialties from Thai to teppanyaki.
