The Yukon is Canada's wild and western-most territory, bordering the US state Alaska to the west, British Columbia to the south and the sparsely populated Northwest Territories to the east. People head here to experience the great outdoors. And here the outdoors truly is great with ice fields, the highest mountains in Canada and the Yukon River – the fifth longest river in North America – all lie within the territory's border. Alongside its natural landscapes, the Yukon is known for its breathtaking aurora borealis, more commonly known as the Northern Lights. This is isolated wilderness at its finest.
