Mountains Lakes & Waterfalls from Banff or Lake Louise
Take a journey deep into the Rocky Mountains, seeking out glacier and snow-fed lakes backed by towering peaks. You'll visit Banff and Yoho National Parks and stop off at Lake Louise (except if you have booked the tour to start from here), Moraine Lake*, the Valley of the Ten Peaks and Takakkaw Falls**. As well as a barbecue lunch on the edge of Emerald Lake, you'll visit a view point that overlooks the Spiral Tunnels - an epic feat of engineering; see if you can follow the train tracks (or even a train if the timing is right) as they twist and turn and sporadically disappear into the mountain.

Sundog - Jasper to Banff Tour
This one way trip between Jasper and Banff (or Lake Louise) has got to be one of the world's most spectacular transfers. Set off southwards along the Icefields Parkway, taking in the serrated peaks of the Rockies as you go. One of the first stops will be Athabasca Falls where water cascades into a winding, narrow gorge. Continue on to the Columbia Icefield Discovery Centre, the base for your trip out on to the vast Athabasca Glacier in the all-terrain Glacier Explorer vehicle, and visit the Glacier Skywalk. Additional stops en route to Banff or Lake Louise include Crowfoot Glacier, Bow Lake and the Weeping Wall.

Jasper Planetarium & Telescope Combo
Jasper National Park is the world's largest Dark Sky Preserve meaning that on clear nights, it is one of the best places to view the stars, planets, galaxies and any passing satellites. On this evening adventure, head to the town's planetarium where you'll learn about the universe and hear tales of indigenous Canadian constellations and the aurora borealis in the 40-seat dome theatre. It's then time to head outdoors to witness the night sky in more detail as you watch instant live footage captured through one of the most powerful telescopes in the Rockies (live viewing is dependent on weather conditions; be sure to dress warmly).

Entrance fees for Canada’s national parks (operated by Parks Canada) are approximately CA$10.50 per adult per day and not are included in the price of your holiday. In many parks, admission for children 17 years and under is free. Banff town
This bustling resort town is a charming base from which to explore. Hiking trails lead out from the town, and the Bow River is ideal for canoeing. Banff National Park is simply beautiful; ride to the top of Sulphur Mountain on the Banff Gondola to soak up panoramic views of the valley below, or hike one of the glorious alpine trails. Hope to spot caribou, elk, coyote, wolves, and black and grizzly bears. From November to May, the park’s mountainous terrain and dry powder is popular with skiers and snowboarders of all levels.
Canmore
Not far from the southern boundary of Banff National Park, along the Trans-Canadian Highway, is the town of Canmore, once a mining town and today an ever-growing tourist destination that's an alternative to the much more crowded township of Banff. The mountain backdrop is similar to that of it's more famous neighbour, with Rocky Mountains framing the town; the most recognisable of these are the triple peaks of the Three Sisters.
Lake Louise
In the middle of Banff National Park, Lake Louise is one of the Canadian Rockies’ most beloved destinations and probably the most photographed. Here turquoise waters sparkle underneath the towering Victoria Glacier. Enjoy hiking and horse riding on the lake shore, or take a boat out onto the water in the summer. The village itself is tranquil and picturesque, with restaurants and a number of hotels. Also visit nearby Moraine Lake, surrounded by the dramatic Valley of the Ten Peaks.
Icefields Parkway
The drive from Lake Louise to Jasper takes you along the spectacular Icefields Parkway. Witness amazing mountain vistas, towering jagged peaks and beautiful lakes, and stop at the dramatic Columbia Icefields en route. The town of Jasper itself is an authentic mountain community, gateway to serene Jasper National Park. Natural attractions include Maligne Canyon, the breathtaking Maligne Lake and the Athabasca and Sunwapta Falls. Take the Jasper Tramway up to Whistlers Peak, for far-reaching views.
