5 days of bliss. Close enough to Hua Hin to be able to visit markets, bars and restaurants, but far enough to escape the crowds. And a nice little bakery just across the road. Great pool and bar. Excellent restaurants. The only downside was the 70m walk from the breakfats restaurant to the waterfront to have a morning coffee while watching the sunrise (that actually wasn't too bad).
As a Thai traveler who traveled to Hua Hin city countless times, strange enough, this was my first time to the Anantara Hua Hin, yet won't be the last! Everything about the hotel was exceptional - the facilities, the services, the hotel staff, and the view were impressive. Khun Alex from the front desk was super friendly and walked us through every detail to ensure our great experiences at the hotel. We got everything we asked for free of charge, extra pillows, buckets of ice, and coffee sets to name a few. All staff was very hospitable but never compromised on the approach to maintain the spread of COVID-19, wearing the face masks all the time and reminding all the guests nicely to also use them in the common areas, specifically in the food stalls. As a long-standing property in Hua Hin, the room was well maintained and all facilities in the room were in good quality. The housekeeping team did a great job of making the room and balcony spotless on a daily basis. They were also available throughout the day if you need them, for instance, they came to clean up the seatings at the balcony after rain upon request. Needless to say, the food lines for breakfast were magnificent and all the dishes were tasty even the Thai food (for a Thai person like myself). The downside was that we went during the weekdays, so there weren't many choices and promotions available in all restaurants in the hotel. However, they consolidated all the food service throughout the day at the beach restaurant, and they did a great job once again. Though not many selections, the food's quality, taste, and staff service were outstanding, not to mention the view which was the big plus and no reservation was required thanks to low demands during the weekdays. The pool is another must-use on the checklist. I really loved the idea of having a bar in the middle of the pool. Of course, I participated in the happy hour campaign every single day there :) The only disadvantage is the gym which is located quite far from the accommodation areas, especially if you stay in the rooms towards the beach. It took me about 7-8 mins walking back and forth, but this was not a big deal if you were to go for exercising in any case. Overall, a very good experience which was way beyond my expectations and very worthy of what was paid for. The weekdays nicely spent in the same old city but in the new place. Highly recommended place for a relaxing vacay!
My second stay after a long while. Anantara maintains its charm, Thai-oriental design. The room is comfortable as well as the big bathtub. I like very much their bathroom - everything from the design, the function, to the bath amenity’s scent. The guestroom itself is big, quiet, and comfortable. I stayed for two nights, working on their desk which is also functional. The place is relaxing. I am happy to be there, finish my work, and sleep well.
One of the Best
This hotel is one of the best I've been to in Thailand. We stayed for four nights and didn't leave the hotel once. There was no need to, as it had everything we wanted and more. The breakfast is outstanding. There are plenty of buffet options which are served to you by friendly staff. Then you can order things like eggs benedict and pancakes off the menu. There is nice coffee available as well. The hotel is beautiful and quiet, and the food on offer in the numerous restaurants is all top notch. There are happy hours which seem to be staggered throughout the afternoon and evening, so you can make the most of buy one get one free deals on cocktails, wine and beer in different locations. On top of all this, the service is incredible. We were able to get anything we needed whenever we asked. In conclusion, I highly recommend this hotel.
This is a great beach resort built in the style of a Thai village and set in beautifully kept gardens. Very comfortable rooms with balconies or garden terraces. Ours was a few steps from the beach. Great restaurants and food quality with the breakfast offering being one of the most extensive I've seen. The staff are, without exception, delightful and very helpful. they couldn't have made us feel more at home. Great spa and massage as well. We didn't explore Hua Hin as we were at the beginning of the virus panic but we did find that we could be socially distant from others and being able to eat outside makes that very possible. Would definitely go again given its easy proximity to the capital.
