Fantastic dining choices
I have had absolutely lovely dining experiences at Mango House! As a local living here, I really appreciate that they welcome the public to dine at their property! My first experience was dinner at the Japanese restaurant Azido. We loved the selection of rolls we picked, the sushi tacos, and the Waygu A5 sukiyaki. The chef was so welcoming and friendly to explain the sukiyaki preparation! Thanks Chef Alex! My next visit was the Italian restaurant Muse- so good! We loved the hand made pizza, grilled octopus, squid pasta, and the very entertaining and delicious tiramisu presented by the head chef ( I think his name is Carmine?). All in all both were fabulous experiences and a great addition to our island dining- I can’t wait to return and try more! Merci beaucoup !
Beautiful location but very overrated
It is a beautiful new property. We stayed at the hotel for a total of 6 nights. The villas are very clean with lots of lovely touches. If you plan on coming to this resort you should but in mind their beach is very small for a resort in Seychelles. Their kids clubs on their website stated there are a lot of activities for children however when we came to the hotel most of the staff kept avoiding us whenever we asked about it and our kids only got to join on the 5th day. Their concierge is the least helpful for a 5 star hotel. Unfortunately I wouldn’t come back here or recommend it to any of my family or friends. I was deceived by their 10 rating as “exceptional” on booking.com
Dream Vacation in Paradise
The Mango House is an absolutely fantastic resort, with beautifully furnished rooms, kind and caring staff, and amazing restaurants, all set in the most incredible tropical paradise. The attention to detail and the lengths the hotel will go to make your stay perfect is unbelievable. From the moment we booked, Claudette was available to help us with our plans. Our butler Jared went above and beyond to take care of us, day and night. No request was too strange or too difficult, and he patiently worked with us each day of our trip to ensure that we had the best possible time. Each morning began with Zaur's smiling face in the Muse restaurant, where the kitchen staff meticulously accommodated both our special Kosher dietary requirements, as well as all of our personal preferences, both in the restaurant as well as when using room service. This is a relatively small property, and that allows the staff to give extremely personal service. We were greeted by name wherever we went, and each and every person we interacted with took the same care to make sure we were having a great time. Thank you so much to everyone at this property, and I hope I am so lucky to come visit you all again.
Living in paradise
Wow, what can I say! We just got back from an incredible trip at Mango house Seychelles. This was our 2nd trip to the Seychelles and I loved the last place we stayed in Beau Vallon so I was nervous as to whether Mango house would match it, however I can hands down say it surpassed it in every single way! The small (40 room) setup makes it feel like a Boutique hotel where you feel like service is nearly tailored just to you! Not only are the rooms beautiful, but the choice of 3 different pools, 2 beaches, 3 restaurants and 2 bars gives you ample choices of where to spend your days and honestly after 5 days I felt like I didn’t even get to make the most of them all! There are so many perfect chill out spots to just get lost in the views! The staff! INCREDIBLE!!! I don’t believe I have ever been to a hotel where every single staff member was so warm, welcoming, happy and passionate to be doing their jobs! There are honestly to many to name but a special shout out to the Breakfast team- Stephanette, Cecil, Chantal, Zaur, Anna and Jonathan! You made breakfast the highlight of our day every day! I genuinely was sad to say bye to you all yesterday! Not only was the service impeccable, but the choice of food at breakfast was unreal! All the small personal touches and the Good Bye on the last day were super special! A few other shout out’s to Nadia by the pool who kept us topped up with drinks and snacks throughout the day and Francesca who looked after us from day one, sorted PCRs and transfers for us. You made the trip seamless and stress free! We were sorry we couldn’t get to say bye! But honestly every single staff member was top notch! They make your establishment and you should be super proud of them all! Other fantastic small touches, the beautiful robes and face masks in the room! The complimentary beach hats and beach bags! Wow they are stunning and in every single photo from our holiday! The special drinks and notes along the way, every day brought its own little surprise! We loved that the water sports ( paddle boards, snorkles etc.. were complimentary) a nice touch and the guys were super helpful and friendly! Lastly the food! 3 different restaurants with incredible food! Japanese, Italian and Creole! Again service was impeccable! Thanks to chef Carmine who came out and chatted to us on several occasions! Great to hear someone who is so passionate about his craft! The good was exquisite! Honestly it’s hard to find anything negative about the stay but working in the service industry I appreciate any feedback that might help make things betters so here it goes… if I was being extremely picky these would be a couple of the points I would give: - I missed having a bath in our room though I believe most of the other room types do have one. - Water in the shower was warm on max ( for someone who likes a piping hot shower) I would of like it a little hotter. - I LOVED the fact you didn’t have annoying blue LED lights in the room which most new modern hotels have these days however the automatic light that comes on in the bar fridge area at night is pretty bright and takes a while to switch off which is annoying in the middle of the night when you are just nipping to the loo and want to get back to pitch darkness quickly. - The way our room was angled, the music from the main restaurant reverberates off the wall of the building and it can be heard quite clearly in the room. When the music came on in the morning this would wake us up ( not a terrible start to the day!) but might annoy others. Honestly, I am pretty sure that if we had mentioned any of the above they would have found a way to resolve it but none of the above really bothered us enough to even mention it. Lastly from a covid perspective everything was top notch, temperatures taken, sanitizer and masks placed everywhere. Staff all had masks on ( apart from when we asked them to take it off for the photo). It felt like a safe haven! A piece of paradise in the Seychelles, views for days, good weather, Michael Adam’s gallery around the corner as well as good walks to nearby beaches and only 30 min from the airport! We will be back! Thank you Mango house team from the bottom of our hearts! It truly was a magical stay!
This hotel and staff is exceptional. We have stayed at a lot of amazing hotels throughout the world, and Mango House managed to top them all. Each time we thought "they can't top this" they did. The pick up at the airport, check-in, tour of the hotel upon arrival were all seamless. Throughout our stay the staff did small things to make our stay even more memorable. A few things they did, at the pool they always brought water with ice to our chair after they learned we liked to have water while relaxing. At breakfast they learned we don't eat red meat so all breakfast dishes were automatically made with turkey/chicken rather than pork or beef. Each time we left a pool, meal or activity they were asking if there was anything else they could help us with. Everyone on staff was amazing. They all listened to anything/everything we asked for, checked in on us, answered questions and had conversation all while giving us space and the feeling we were the only guests there. The views from the hotel are amazing as there is ocean and mountains that seem to change as the sun and clouds move. There are three pools and each has a very different view based on where it is located on the property. Given the small number of rooms, finding a perfect spot at any of the pools is never an issue. The gym is well stocked with everything you hope for in a hotel gym. There were treadmills, bikes, rowing machine, weights, mats, great views, water and towels. The food is a little expensive, but it is universally excellent. The service was perfect and anything we asked for we got. They are willing to make substitutions and meet the chiefs. The day we checked out we were able to get a late checkout and they did housekeeping in the morning so we had clean towels when we showered at the end of the day. They learned what our favorite drink was and had it in the room as we were packing up. When we arrived at the airport, someone from the hotel was there to meet us and help with the bags, navigate the small airport and checkin. The entire stay was magical and perfect. This hotel is a must stay and we will be returning.
