Ithaa - An underwater restaurant in the Maldives
If you’re planning a far-flung escape to the blue skies and sparkling waters of the Maldives, then there’s one luxurious resort that has a little more to offer foodies than most... an underwater restaurant.
Conrad Maldives Rangali Island has a dining experience with a difference up its sleeve – the world’s first all-glass undersea restaurant no less!
180° views of marine life and coral gardens
Boasting the most iconic restaurant in the Maldives, you’re invited to venture 16 feet below sea level to dine at one of the world’s most extraordinary venues, Ithaa. Famous for its marine life and colourful coral gardens, you’ll be able to see a number of species that the Maldives has to offer with 180° views through the restaurant’s glass walls and arched glass roof.
Discover an underwater world
Not only will you have spectacular views of an underwater world, you’ll also have the chance to taste some of the most delicious Maldivian-Western fusion cuisine available in the Indian Ocean. Your gourmet four-course lunch or six-course set dinner menu will even come complete with Champagne cocktails (children welcome for lunch only). We recommend showcasing your favourite dinner outfit and enjoying a night under the waves.
“Venture 16 feet below the ocean for dinner at one of the world's most extraordinary restaurants. With 180° views of marine life through its glass walls and arched glass roof, topped off with delectable Maldivian-Western fusion cuisine and Champagne cocktails, beautiful Ithaa is unique and a little surreal.”

A unique and surreal venue
Very unique and a little surreal, Ithaa has already been voted the ‘most beautiful restaurant in the world’ by the New York Daily News (2014), so where better to indulge in some mid-morning cocktails or a private breakfast for two? You’ll leave feeling ready to take on a day of Maldivian pampering or utter relaxation.
An unforgettable experience
Ithaa, meaning ‘mother of pearl’ in the Maldivian language of Dhivehi, is also available for intimate private bookings. We think it’d be ideal for an unforgettable wedding, birthday or anniversary celebration that’s truly one of a kind. Definitely expect lavish decoration and pure indulgences from caviar to Maldivian lobster.
Ithaa is open from 11am until midnight 7 days a week.
