We have just returned home after the most amazing holiday at Marina Phuket. The accommodation is very spacious and bathrooms are well appointed and fresh towels are supplied daily. The high standard of the property is obvious even after the last years of covid lockdown and no business. The pool area is simply magical with plenty of sun beds and towels with a great pool bar and great staff. The food is very good both at the restaurant at Red Chopsticks and On the Rocks with it’s stunning view of the sea.The hotel is perfectly located in Karon with your own private beach access and easy walking distance to the main road to Karon and Kata. The attentiveness of the staff is fantastic and they are always there to help in any way.Suthima and her staff are an absolute compliment to the owner of this great property. We will be back like a lot of returning guests that have been going to Marina Phuket for years.
Honeymoon week in Phuket
Absolutely amazing place to stay. We booked through Kuoni holiday group and were given the absolute best service from the minute we came out of the airport up until we left phuket. Our kuoni rep from the hotel - apple - was superb, she assisted in booking excursions to various different places such as Thai cooking class Phuket. The hotel is so clean, huge attention is paid to detail and there is no limit to what they can do for you! We stayed here for a honeymoon week and had ocean views from our room. Would 100% recommend.
Absolutely amazing resort with fabulous location. One step (private entry) to Karon beach. Beautiful bungalow in jungle, perfect food in restaurant On the rocks with stunning sea view. The best stuff ever! Especially want to thank manager of reservation department miss Suthima Rosamai. She helped at every step from reservation to getting Thai Pass confirmation. Amazing person! Hope to return to this wonderful place!
Fabulous jungle setting
We have just returned from the Marina Phuket Resort, Thailand and have had a fantastic holiday. We loved the villas hidden by the flora giving customers privacy. Staff were very attentive and always smiling - nothing was too much trouble. We enjoyed the Salathai Restaurant for breakfast/evening meal which had lots of choice. On Valentine's Day we enjoyed a fabulous a-la-carte meal at the 'On the Rocks' Restaurant with a wonderful romantic setting overlooking Karon Beach. Staff knew who we were which gave a personal touch. The resort was well positioned for shops/bars. All in all we would recommend this resort to anyone wishing to stay in this area.
A Very Solid Choice - Privacy is a prime attribute
We enjoyed our stay at the Marina Resort. We stayed in a Grand Villa, and at $625/nt USD, it was definitely on the expensive side. All the rooms are in villas, so you are afforded much more privacy than a "typical" hotel in which you share walls with neighbors. The Grand Villas are buildings on to themselves, while the other villas appear to share one common wall. Nevertheless, the way they are laid out, you could stay a week and not see your neighbor. The included breakfast buffet was good - never made it to the buffet dinner. The pool was very nice, especially if you got a lounger by the waterfall - very peaceful. I didn't like the fact that people reserved loungers by 7:30am and didn't show up until 10:30-11:00, but after the second day we did the same and everyone seemed to stick to their "spot". I HIGHLY recommend the massages by the pool. I didn't think I would like a massage outside in the hot and sticky environment, but it was one of the best I've had anyway (and cheap). The pool has a nice bar, but you need to go to the bar to get a drink - i.e., they don't come around taking orders. We typically stay at luxury resorts, so that is our basis of comparison. The service here was friendly, but not 5* level. My biggest criticism is the number of mosquitoes in our room. The first night we killed 17! Subsequent nights it was considerably less, but we always had "buzzy company" which made for an unrestful sleep. I believe the biggest problem is that when they clean the rooms they leave the doors open. I understand why they do this, and in a typical hotel setting (with closed interior hallways) this makes sense so employees are not accused of stealing. However, given the nature of these villas (jungle setting), I really think they need to close the doors while cleaning and/or use some type of repellent. It seems like a minor issue until you are the one up all night swatting at mosquitos. Everything considered, I would stay here again, but I hope they address the mosquitos in the rooms.
