The hotel is located just 40-min from the Phuket International Airport, so it was a perfect place for my short break in Phuket. Check-in and check-out was smooth and efficient. The front desk staff were nice and helpful throughout the stay. I stayed in the Serenity Pool Villa which is their newly refurbished villas. The villa is contemporary design, clean and well-equipped. The villa is sizable with huge comfortable king-size bed, a spacious bathroom with 2 wash basins and separate walk-in closet. It's also equipped with electronic toilet which you can usually find it in Japan. The private swimming pool with whirlpool is surrounded by lush greenery. Wi-Fi internet was super fast and stable. I was able to stream my Netflix content onto the smart tv without any issue. I had a chance to tried the Moo Kata - a Thai style street food BBQ in my villa. The food was great. Although the breakfast was offered as à la carte menu at the time, but there were plenty of choices, and the food was exceptional. Overall, I found the hotel to be a good relaxing place for my short vacation. My experience was beyond expectations. The Serenity Pool Villa was brand-new, spacious and clean. Food was great. Staff members were kind, especially Mr.Thossaphon who arranged my reservation and ensured I had everything catered for. I'll definitely be staying at Banyan Tree Phuket again soon.
Just off a beautiful holiday at the Banyan Tree Phuket ( BT). As the borders of Thailand are closed, BT has offered some great deals as the resort had pretty much shut down. I can say we probably paid 1/3 of what the resort usually sells for and our rate included a lovely breakfast. This resort has over 220 Villas/Rooms to stay in...from new and modern serenity villas to 3 bedroom thai style villas with beautiful huge swimming pools and 5000 feet of space!!!! They are also now building 20+ Double water villas which are modern glass houses overlooking the lakes with a huge private infinity pool....However the infinity pools as of yet do not look so private, so this much be for "here look at me" crowd who want those stunning photos. To each their own. I think reviews are easier if you just list your positives and negatives... We had a 2 bedroom Pool Villa with Two bathrooms and a beautiful pool area. Lots of chairs and at least 4000 square feet inside and out......Beautiful plantings and warm breezes and the decorations were most definitely Thai....Dark woods, high ceilings, a little wear and tear, but overall beautifully preserved. 3 Outdoor showers with varying levels of privacy and two ful baths and a small kitchenette etc. Breakfast was a feast with so many items offering A La Carte as the resort has only opened 50+villas so far.....but nobody actually provided us with any numbers....They dodged the questions. From Waygu Minute steak with eggs to simple scrambled eggs or even Lobster omlette you could have anything you wanted and as much as you wanted. We are not breakfast people, but WOW some of the guests were packing away 6 or 7 entrees. The Servers struggled at times to keep up but overall were excellent. One evening I tripped over a cement traffic stop after dinner and hurt myself. When the breakfast team saw my mess, they instantly called security who came to fully bandage my arm and continued to do so all week long without any charge. I think the security guys name was Jefferson? but whomever he was, he deserves a big Thank you. As nice as nice could be. While front desk staff was as nice as could be we did not see or meet one manager in 5 days. Our rooms had no fresh fruit in them and other than lucky bamboo, no flowers. For Thailand, this was mediocre. Except for the spa, most "Banyan tree" signature items were not running. There was no Yoga, or special classes etc. Even when we tried to purchase some spa products they had ran out of most. We had a huge villa with a pool, and still missed the Ocean, which was something interesting to us. Lastly, due to the resort being slow, Banyan Tree places all of the guests in the golf club restaurant. While the Verdant green fields are beautiful, many of the golfers smoke a variety of cigarettes and tobacco products throughout, and this is terrible. The staff moved us to nice tables, however the golf club people sit all over and smoke all over. We found this two times per day at the Banyan Tree and this was unacceptable both breakfast and lunch? Banyan Tree is a healthy organic, green resort and yet we sat there breathing others smoke for 4 days????? We even tried the "Close room", but had no air in there as well. I will also say that BT offered the breakfast delivered as well, but cold, not fresh food is never as good as eating a hot fresh cooked breakfast. One more concern was that they phone lines were either not answered or busy when we tried to call the front desk (1-2 times per day?) This is not only unacceptable, this is unsafe. When we make a phone call it should be answered ASAP, with no excuses. Nobody wants to feel all alone in a hotel. Overall, I found the location and the resort to be beautiful. Check in staff and all other staff was as kind as kind could be. That said, I question if I would return to this property. I felt that because perhaps we purchased a discounted rate, there was much we missed out on the Banyan experience and the Smoking was terrible. I think if you find a good rate, and you want a "Break" the BT could be a could be good match for you. It is just not where it should be at this time. Safe travels to all.
The most relaxing stay.
Love their attention to all details, from the moment we arrived Khun Nu and his colleague very warm welcome throughout our stay well informed all information and strictly to their hygiene, distancing etc. In room beautiful breakfast is the best. I will definitely come back to visit Banyan Tree Phuket again.
We have stayed in Spa & Sanctuary for a 4-day vacation. It really felt so special. Beautiful villa, nice food, excellent service...Using bicycle within the resort is something we enjoyed. Nothing to criticize. We would love to go back soon.
