Lake Tahoe ski holidays
CALIFORNIA • USA
The highest concentration of ski resorts in North America: over 17,500 acres of terrain, breathtaking scenery, huge snowfall, and over 300 annual days of sunshine.
The skiing at the Tahoe resorts is varied and caters for everyone from the first timer to the most experienced winter sports enthusiast. Located on the south shore, Heavenly is the biggest resort on the lake, with extensive skiing and great entertainment, including the Nevada casinos. Whether you stay in the California or the Nevada side of town, it’s an easy scoot to the high-speed gondola in the centre of the resort.
On the North Shore, Squaw Valley promises a huge average annual snowfall of 38 feet, followed by glorious sunshine beating down on its 4,000 acres of hugely varied terrain (plus neighbouring Alpine Meadows, which can be skied on the same ticket). Another great advantage is that you can now ski Heavenly and Kirkwood on the same EPIC lift ticket.
