Stayed for one night in one of the garden view room it was big and spacious. We were welcomed with fresh towels and water on arrival then check in at the lower part of the hotel. Staff was friendly and helpful. We had some lunch at the restaurant it was good. Massage place was good enough but not amazing. The pool area isn’t very big but there is enough seats for the guests we didn’t feel like it was crowded. They also have a gym Rooms are big and a nice terrace outside with long chair and sofa. Ac worked perfectly it was needed as it is very humid. Big bathroom with shower and bath and few amenities. The overall feel of the bedroom is great but a bit dated for such a nice hotel and for the price per night. Breakfast was a big buffet with lots to choose from staff was friendly.
Hilton Seychelles Northolme
Beautiful location amazing food and it was halal! The honeymoon package was well thought out and the staff was very helpful. I have traveled the world and stayed in many Hilton premises but Seychelles Hilton Northolme is by far one of the best facilities that I have been to.
Private and comfortable
Very comfortable and private villas, the hotel small and quiet. No kids. Seaviews around you everywhere. But the sea is shallow and not good for swimmers. both buffet and a la carte dinners were not something to remember
3 stars at best, Definitely not a 5 star hotel
We stayed in the Pool villa for 5 nights for our honeymoon . The room was spacious and beautiful. It was nice that they gave us a free bottle of wine and a cake up arrival. However, service at the hotel was horrendous. I usually try to give hotels the benefit of the doubt but I wouldn’t waste any money here. If you’re looking for a true 5 star hotel I would suggest the Four Seasons. This place is at most a 3.5 star. We even had cockroaches in our room and didn’t complain to the hotel. How they treated us as gold members was poor and I would not be returning. The restaurants were hit or miss with the servers. I would say only about 20% of the staff went out of their way to give you great service. The rest of the staff looked as if they hated their jobs. Food was mediocre. Nothing really stood out at best. I understand Seychelles is an expensive island but if you were getting good quality, that would help justify a little as to how much was being spent on food. The main issue we had was with coordination from staff. We had canceled two separate activities and yet staff acted as if we didn’t. We had called the front desk to arrange a taxi. They told us it would be ten minutes while we waited in the Pavilion. The taxi did not show up until 45mins later. It would have been nice if they were just straight forward with us because I could have at least went and grabbed a couple more items from our room instead of worrying that I was going to be late for the taxi pickup. As a gold member you are given late checkout option. We called the front desk to confirm if we could check out late. The guy said it shouldn’t be a problem and would get back to us. Next day still no answer till it’s time to leave. Several times we asked for a service and the staff forgot. Upon arriving Susa gave us his number in case we needed anything. We messaged him twice and no response. I don’t understand the purpose of providing your information if you did not want to try to help us. Having stayed at plenty of 5 star hotels before and spending over $6k on our room alone for 4 days I expected a lot more from the Hilton Northholme. This experience was truly disappointing.
For a global trotting family like us, we very rarely repeat our hotel stays, however the Hilton Seychelles Northolme Resort & Spa holds a very special place in our hearts. We are been there for three time in 2019 already and will return again. We love this hotel for its unique location—every villa has wonderful view. The hilltop restaurant, the bar and the spa all have million dollars view. Some people may complain the beach is too small but there are live corals and so many wonderful fish species underneath for snorkelling. (we had fun swimming ever it was flooded at Dec.) We love this place because of its peace and privacy. In addition. what makes this place is the people work there. Duncan, Moses, Grace, the head chef and quite a few we can’t remember their names. Each and every one of the team is friendly and helpful. They are working hard to create the intimate small resort family feeling. It’s probably not the place for people seek for the large resort feeling with lots of activities nor people want to 100% flawless service, but it’s definitely a small piece of paradise for us. We can’t wait to go back to the island life😊
