Beautiful but less then we had hoped for
This place has so much potential! The view from the hotel is stunning, most of the staff is amazingly caring and friendly but yet there is a lot missing. Gathering information beforehand about what is going on at the hotel is very hard. I tried to contact them with a few questions before our stay and got no contact by email or telephone. When we arrived the welcome was quick and unpersonal (we also had to wait for four hours because we were there early but we got upgraded as compensation which made us happy). When you live there you also feel isolated. There is not much going on and it is hard to get to other places from the hotel. We had an all inclusive stay but the meny were lacking in variation and in the end got a bit boring. Every day it was the same courses to choose from. And they charged us for still water during lunch time even when we had all inclusive! No drinks (during meals or otherwise) are included. I would consider going to Constance instead if we could do it again - while the staff personally seemed very generous we got the feeling that hotel policy was to be creative in finding ways to charge as much money as they could from you.
Dream Location on Mahé
Unfortunately we only stayed here for 2 nights. The hotel was so extremely nice, with such a special location, fantastic room, view, pool, snorkeling possibilities that we really regretted having to leave so soon. A major asset however were also the staff! From reception over housekeeping to restaurants and gardeners, simply EVERYONE was not just polite but super friendly and helpfull! Not because they had to but it because they wanted to! We also loved the restaurants and Ocean View Bar! Simply amazing! Thank you for making the last days of our honeymoon so wonderful!
A visit to remember
I always wanted to make our 25th wedding anniversary something "special". As a 'seasoned' traveller I wanted somewhere that would impress my wife, who hasn't had the opportunities I have had to travel the world. That put less than a handful of locations onto my list. The problem is that I then worried I had 'over-sold' the Seychelles. I needn't have worried. "Even better than expected" was her response. The Hilton Seychelles Northolme is absolutely top notch. Fabulous staff, superb villas, good food, in one of the world's most beautiful countries. We could not have been better looked after. A slice of heaven.
One of the truly great hotels of the world
This is an exquisitely beautiful hotel. The spacious villas are set in impeccably maintained grounds with access to tiny beaches. The staff are welcoming, courteous and helpful. The views at sunset over Silhouette Island from the bar are breathtaking. We had a villa with a private pool which was luxurious. The food was outstanding. I ate some of the best dishes I’ve had in my life on the bar menu! Be warned It is expensive …10% service charge is added to everything, including laundry, which some object to. But Seychelles has to import everything, from paper clips to rice so prices are bound to be higher than at home. It is worth every last penny to have a memorable holiday. We’re going again!
Wonderful hotel resort and spa
Our stay at the Hilton Northolme was nothing short of fantastic from the moment we checked in up until the checkout. The resort is stunning with a beautiful views from every angle, the rooms were clean, the breakfast was outstanding nothing too much trouble for the staff, the gym was great and above all the staff no matter which part of the resort you were at were always smiling and friendly going above and beyond. Highly recommend this hotel as very close to the Beau Vallon area too with the beach and can’t wait to go back.
