Spa at Maya is set down by the river valley, with private treatment pavilions reached through lush foliage, plus river valley views, daybeds, and the sound of the Petanu River below. There is also a fitness centre, a large Yoga Pavilion overlooking gardens and neighbouring rice terraces, complimentary group yoga for guests, private yoga sessions, and a tennis court.
Sustainability has long been part of Maya’s story. The resort’s practices include wastewater recycling, biodegradable products and cleaning supplies, LED lighting, plastic reduction, waste separation, local materials, recycled timber and furnishings, local employment, community support, and Maya Art Lounge’s promotion of local artists. Maya Ubud also holds Tri Hita Karana Awards & Accreditation 2024 Platinum Award status, while external Green Globe sources record the resort’s Green Globe certification history.
Maya Ubud is a lovely fit for families who want enclosed resort grounds, gentle nature, and easy access to Ubud. The kids’ club is open daily for ages 4 to 12, with indoor and outdoor play areas, while children under four need adult supervision. There is also a 42-square-metre kids’ pool, children’s splash time from 8am to 8pm, connecting suites, two-bedroom pool villas, and plenty of green space to roam.
