The Pavilions Bali

Blissful quietude

A hushed escape that’s particularly lovely for couples, yet Sanur town and its beach are on your doorstep when you’re ready to emerge.

Even though The Pavilions is in the heart of Sanur, its bamboo-lined driveway feels like its transports you to a hidden oasis. There are just 25 villas for pampered guests, each of them light and airy and embracing an indoor-outdoor style of living. Choose to dine in your villa or take a stroll to Jahe and order delicious Indonesian classics, or perhaps plan a cooking class where you can learn how to create some of the dishes yourself.

Why we love The Pavilions Bali

  • The Curated Journeys are pre-planned itineraries of experiences, spa treatments and special dinners, perfect for celebratory trips

  • Three-quarters of the villas have a private pool, but the parasol-lined central pool is a tranquil place to relax for hours and has the advantage of a poolside bar

  • While it’s not a seafront resort, Sanur Beach is within a 10-minute from the resort

  • There’s an exceptional welcome waiting here: guests receive a footbath and massage, welcome drink and fruit basket on arrival

The Indonesian menu is enticing at Jahe, which, as the resort’s restaurant, you’ll find yourself returning to. Lunches by the pool are long and lazy, courtesy of the Poolside Bar, which also keeps the refreshments flowing throughout the day. Don’t miss special dining experiences available in the privacy of your villa, a floating breakfast or afternoon tea served adrift on the surface of the pool.

Jahe Restaurant
A winding path leads to an authentic Balinese restaurant, with tables set out beneath pagodas in a lantern-lit tropical garden. Both Indonesian and international dishes are served here.

Poolside Bar
Open from 11am until 6pm, a wide choice of drinks and snacks are available within steps of the pool.

Signature Dining
There’s a choice of options if you want an extra special dinner, from a private seafood barbecue with a chef to a Balinese cooking class to create the dishes yourself. You can dine in moonlight by the poolside or try the Heaven on Earth menu: a 4-course meal served by your pool villa that's been filled with petals. For a slightly different pool-based culinary experience, treat yourselves to a floating afternoon tea.

The private gazebos at Jahe offer the perfect blend of a quiet dinner for two, with a sparkling atmosphere of a restaurant.
