Recommended itinerary
Day 1
Colombo
You’ll settle into your holiday with one night at Uga Residence in Colombo. A private transfer brings you from the airport to this beautiful boutique hotel with exquisite attention to detail and a tranquil atmosphere. On your second day, we highly recommend you take a city tour of Colombo for the perfect introduction to Sri Lanka.
Days 2-4
Anuradhapura
Our car and driver option is a flexible way to travel around Sri Lanka, giving you access to a private car on demand. It’s a comfortable way to travel the four hours northeast to Anuradhapura, where you’ll be glad to check into the secluded sanctuary of Uga Ulagalla, a serene hotel set amid lush gardens with a historic manor house at its heart. You’ll spend three nights here, and your driver can take you to the Sigiriya Rock Fortress and the Dambulla Cave Temple during your time here if you wish.

Days 5-8
Passikudah
Your driver will take you to the east coast on a 170-kilometre journey to Passikudah. You can ask your driver to break up the journey by visiting the Polonnaruwa Kingdom Ruins, where a splendid garden city existed in the 12th century. When you arrive on the shores of Vandalous Bay, you’ll bid farewell to your driver – the next few days are dedicated to pure relaxation on pristine white sands in the fabulous Uga Bay hotel.
Days 9-10
Yala
You’ll take a private transfer on the 130-kilometre drive west to Yala. Another exceptional hotel awaits you at the end of the journey: the fabulous Uga Chena Huts are luxurious cabins with extraordinary views across the wilderness of Yala National Park. Over two memorable nights here, you’ll take a jeep safari to get to know Yala better with an expert guide, with the chance to spot the region’s famous residents – elephants and leopards.
Days 10-11
Southwest coast
A private transfer will collect you from Uga Chena Huts and drive you to Anantara Kalutara Resort, a beautiful beachfront retreat on the south-west coast, but within reach of Colombo, Galle and other must-see destinations. Spend your final two nights relaxing by the waves before your return flight home.
