We have just passed 5 nights in this place and it was extremly relaxing and pleasant. the hotel first, beautiful, luxurious but not showing off in any way. lush gardens all around with lots of trees all around magnificent pools with rocks and plants to make it a bit a natural vibe. public beach (all are public in Spain) easily accessible from Hotel (litterally 2 minutes from last pool), quite large and clean. rooms are comfy and large with space for clothes and luggages for long stay. Large bathrooms very well eqquipped. housekeeping is doing a truly good job. in a general speaking all staff was doing great, smiling, available everywhere and trying their best.we did not face any major issue except one... one of our meal was not good (restaurant Hacienda) my wife even got sick, I spoke twice about it to the Front Desk and they did not do anything or call management on this.. a tad dissapointing. especially that ALL other restaurants were VERY good, we almost tried them all. Food is a bit pricy even for a 5 stars, they offer a Half Board option deducted from the menu list prices but it does not make sense all the time... a plate at 19EUR would be include when another at the same time will have an extra charge of 5EUR or more for example.. and the serving staff cant explain why... good Bell services too .A special kudos to José in the restaurants who really go the extra mile and Alessandra too, so kind and smiling. A very nice place to relax where we will maybe go back.
I visited this hotel for many years. On what I consider to be my final stay we were down graded to a villa. The villa had a dirty pool that was not cleaned before or during our stay. Sun beds were mucky and sheeting not cleaned or replaced until 1 day before our departure. I write this review in all honesty to advise other travelers this hotel can be very disappointing. The rooms are various in quality and view.you cannot guarantee you will acquire what you pay for/request. You can read other reviews re food and restaurants
Great holiday, just what we needed!
My fiancé and I stayed at the Bahia last week and really enjoyed it. Like everyone we had concerns travelling abroad especially as Tenerife was caught up in the larger Spanish quarantine area but it was worth it. The hotel was spotless and constantly being cleaned by the friendly staff. The social distancing has been implement well with the hotel chain having thier own custom signage that shows they have invested in this in the long term and not just thrown generic safety signs everywhere to ‘tick the box’. All staff were wearing masks constantly and I never saw any of them without one, even the pool area assistants in the 30c heat! The breakfast buffet was a great selection and again well managed from a safety perspective with a one way system, staff would add items to your plate to avoid guests touching tongs but plastic gloves for items like pastries, toast and fruit where guest could help themselves. Although the hotel was quiet with I believe only around 100 guests this didn’t matter because it meant more room around the pool and it felt more private and the service was very attentive. The Bahia is one of the top two hotels in the Adeje Bay Area and I would stay there again without a doubt. Please remember to tip any staff who do go the extra mile they always appreciate it and look after you for the rest of the time you stay.
The only thing that is updated is their website
We stayed first in Ritz, which was lovely but very quite and restricting due to the COVID-19, then we moved to Melia Grand Palacio, which was very different to Ritz In every possible way, and to finish of our stay we decided to try Bahia Del Duque. Well, what an expansive mistake. The place is generally very dated. Also rooms: dungy and smelly. Most of the amenities (Restaurants) are still closed and NOTHING like on their website. However that is not reflected in their prices. The most expansive hotel out of three. Can not accommodate the only few guests they have to have dinner at the desired time, will have empty tables but not sit u down (although it is outside and on the distance). First night we were “kindly pushed” to Mexican cantina, which after seeing it we decided not to take chances on. Personeel is polite and trying. The spa was “fully booked”, I suspect not enough personnel. But also I am sure it would be just as disappointing as everything else here. Also something to be said about all three hotels: speaking and understanding English are two different things. They make it very difficult to cancel the stay and move out (Ritz is nothing like that). Makes me wonder if this is how they keep “Prisoners” here. Actually very lame place. Don’t bother spending your money here. We regret coming here very much!!!
Stayed here for two nights. Initially the plan was to stay at the Ritz resort but then a friend recommandâtes that we must try Bahia del Duque in the south. Turned out to be a great decision. All the villas were full so we booked a delux ocean view, which was nice but the air con noise kept me up all through the night and the receptionist on duty, Miguel, kindly offered another room for me to sleep for the rest of the night. Francisons who was working in the day shift was very friendly, efficient and helpful. Luckily they had a villa available and so we took it and spend our second night at a beautiful one bedroom villa. It was quite spacious and eloquently designed with a mini indoor pool and a garden pool which were actually spacious enough for a family of four. The bed was comfortable and everything was made elegant. The turndown service was prompt and they lit the candle in the garden and brought us chocolates. The mini-bar was included, but didn’t have any alcohol. So we ordered beers and they brought us an extra bucket of ice to keep the beers cool! Nice! The butler service was tad bid slow but not to a point of annoyance. And everyone was wonderful and courteous. We had a fabulous time and would love to come back for a longer period next time. Btw, they had buffet breakfast in the main hotel and a la carte in the villas. And everything was well managed without too much trouble to ensure everything is cool with the COVID-19 guidelines.
