What a holiday, what an experience, what a beautiful resort.
I feel so lucky to have visited such a wonderful place like the Seychelles. Even more lucky to have visited this beautiful resort. There is absolutely nothing I can fault. The food was amazing. The service, the staff, the comfort, the location. Everything was astonishing. From the moment we arrived we noticed how relaxed we could feel. The reception staff cared to give us the best experience. Everyone went out of her way to meet us and also welcome us. I am quite a nervous traveller and starting our holiday this way it gave me comfort and security. We stayed at the adult only section, Black Parrot Suites. Gorgeous rooms with beautiful sea views. Fiona who is the host and generally responsible for the black parrot suites/ showed us to our room, she was full of humour and very welcoming. She is a lovely lady and takes care of all the guests. owards the evening we met Kathleen who is so caring and made sure she gave us all the info about where to go and eat and lots of recommendations about the culture of the locals and things to try. We went for the bed and breakfast option so we rented a car and ate at quite a few local restaurants. I have to say that the ala carte restaurant in the hotel had quite good food and better than other restaurants around. Everyone in the restaurants and the waiters gave a lot of attention to detail and if one night they wouldn’t see us they would watch out for us and make sure we were okay. What a beautiful thing to do. The beaches in front of the hotel are satisfying and great to sunbathe and relax. The cocktails are amazing and make sure you get from the hotel shop some coconut oil to boost that tan. !! This resort is what we call an experience of a lifetime and we will definitely return again.
Great hotel, friendly people, avoid the buffet
We stayed for three nights. Not typical all inclusive people. The hotel is in a nice location with some good facilities. The beach is small and average. They could do with some better gardens. The rooms are great. Lovely large bathrooms with a bath. Good seated areas opening onto the waterfront. There is a lot of seating spread out in many areas which means you don’t feel you are on top of each other. The promenade thing is great, good for chilling and finding a breeze. We borrowed canoes, in one direction a turtle came up to my canoe and in the other we passed over a startled stingray. They offer day trips and we took a ride to the touristy beach in the north, not worth it. If the bus dropped people at the national park on the way back it might have made for a better excursion. The staff are really friendly. The breakfasts have a good selection and the pool restaurant serves nice food. Sadly we were half board, I didn’t realise, and were forced to eat the buffet. The first night was a ‘spice’ theme and it was okay. The later two nights got weirder, repetitive and just not great. I wish we had written off the money spent and eaten in the restaurant. It would be good if they offered you the choice to use your half board in the pool restaurant instead of forcing you into the poor buffet. The third night was the Indian Ocean. We basically got the same food as previous nights with a different sauce. No seafood odyssey... roast lamb!? Expect for the buffet I enjoyed my stay and would recommend. It is expensive for what it is... but that’s the Seychelles.
An amazing Honeymoon
We absolutely loved it! we had the best time. We are already planning on return every five years. Money well spent! There were so many hotels to choose from, but so glad we choose this island location, is relaxing, its not overrun. The food was tasty, the staff so friendly, it was perfect
Paradise within Paradise
I have just returned from the most wonderful stay at this hotel. On arrival, after a journey of around 24 hours I was given a lovely welcome by the staff, who are all so friendly and kind. I was given a really lovely room, with plenty of space, a bathroom with bath and separate shower room, and a beautiful patio with a lounge bed, chairs and a small table. This was a delight to sit out in as it had a superb view of the ocean. The house keeping was to an extremely high standard throughout my stay. Although full, the hotel never seemed to be overcrowded - there was plenty of space around the pool, the bar and restaurant were buzzing with atmosphere, but not crowded. Service was ALWAYS excellent. There is a spa, with views over the ocean, a great selection of treatments, and again, lovely, friendly staff. I cannot commend the young masseur highly enough - I had two treatments, both of which left me feeling wonderful!! I mainly ate in the main restaurant, which was a buffet-style set up. Breakfasts were great, with lots of choices, including an Egg station and a Pancake station, and an abundance of fresh fruit, cheeses, meats, and hot dishes. Dinner in the main restaurant again offered plenty of choices of starters, main courses and desserts. The hotel sits in beautiful grounds, right on the edge of the ocean. Absolute bliss! I really loved this wonderful place - the best thing about it? The staff!! I cannot name anyone in particular as every-one I spoke to was so friendly, knowledgable and helpful. If you are looking for a peaceful, relaxing holiday on Praslin Island - look no further!!
The hotel staff was very nice with us during our 7 day stay!! The beach is nice, both the one in the right and the one passing the bridge. The food in the mango bar was really good!! Breakfast was superb and really complete! Would only recommend improving the dishes in the creole night.
