This hotel is simply amazing! We originally booked for 2 nights for my birthday stay but unfortunately had to depart a day earlier to due all the corona virus issues and flights. We were greeted with lovely mocktails and the young man who helped us with our luggage was super sweet. Our room was incredible with direct access to beach and they had put fresh flowers all around. Loved the food and the welcoming service. Its great that the food isnt ridiculously overpriced for a hotel of this calibre, and although we only had 1 breakfast and dinner here, we found it delicious. The free water refills is great too and helps reduce plastic. Unfortunately we didn't get a chance to make use of the free SUP and kayaking, but the afternoon tea is a fab touch. Best of all was Mr Ash. He was an absolute star and promptly arranged our change of flights for us for the same day and rearranged our ferry back to the airport too. We are so gutted that we only stayed for 1night at this hotel but cannot thank the staff and Mr Ash enough for their amazing hospitality, compassion and professionalism during such a scary time across the world. We're safely back home in time, thank you Mr Ash! -Room 52
Having just recently returned from a great week, we can’t recommend this hotel highly enough. Friendly, professional staff, great rooms and amazing views. This small, privately owned, resort is spread over a huge acreage, always giving you the feel of plenty of room and space. The staff have a genuine pride in working here and a special thanks to Rosemeree, Ajay ❤️, Henry and Nadia for looking after us so well. Rooms - we went for a beach front Superior room which was definitely worth the upgrade. Spacious, direct access to the beach and your own terrace even with a clothes dryer! Next time we might go for a Black Parrot Suite purely for the adult only pool, but then you won’t get the direct beach access. Restaurants- good and the drinks very reasonably priced. We went breakfast only which worked well for us as we could switch between the Hibiscus Restaurant, buffet, and the Mango Tree, more adult only in the evening, and serves excellent grilled fish dishes, beware though, large portions! The Fish Trio is a must. Henry at the bar makes the best Espresso Martini in the Seychelles. A lot of people came in for lunch from outside the hotel at the Mango Tree, great salads, sandwiches, burgers etc. you can understand why. Breakfast choice at Hibiscus was incredible, although sometimes as in the evening, slow to replenish empty dishes. The deck area with swimming pool is totally unique and a great place to watch the sunset and snorkel, as well as lots of hammocks dotted around the beach areas. Free paddle boarding and kayaks available. Great little touches including a water station area where you can refill your water bottles, at last a hotel doing something to get rid of the dreaded blue plastic! And free afternoon tea served by the pool everyday between 4-5pm. Do hire a car for the day while your there, only 50 euros and you can easily see the whole island in a day. Also gives you the chance to visit Les Rocheurs Restaurant lunch which-is literally next door, although not cheap but well worth it. Just heaven, we will definitely be back!
Lovely honeymoon at Coco De Mer
My wife and I really enjoyed our stay at Coco De Mer Hotel. The service and the staff were fantastic. Ocean was warm, the food was great and the beaches were beautiful. They even have free of charge kayaks and SUP boards. Perfect honeymoon. Thank you Coco De Mer!
Beautiful hotel - little dated in places
Our stay did not get of you a good start when the hotel said they needed a credit card on check in we assumed for pre authorisation but actually despite having paid in full we were charged for another persons room. As soon as we realised and pointed this out the hotel arranged a refund and were very apologetic but it wasn’t a great start. The room was big with a lovely view out to the sea. Some of the furnishings were a bit dated. If we had any food in the room ants seemed to get in which was annoying (the hotel brought us breakfast the night before for early check-out and by morning it was covered in bigs. The pools are both lovely with really comfy chairs. There isn’t much beach but a few chairs looking out to sea. The gym is small and dated but functional. There is filtered water available around the resort to refill bottles. The food was good. I’m gluten and lactose free and Marie in the a la carte restaurant was amazing at making sure everyone knew (even when not our server and looking after me). Thank you Marie for this. The hotel offers various free buses to explore the island. We took this up to go visit Anse Lazio for the morning and it was a good excursion. We also booked a couple of taxis through the hotel that were all excellent. Overall this was a lovely resort even if not the height of luxury and we would recommend it.
Good stay, less than average vegetarian food
The junior suite room in Black Parrot was good, especially the bath tub which can easily accomodate a couple. The staff is courteous, polite and helpul. However the hotel lacks vegetarian option, plus the taste of the food is below average.
