Holidaying on one Indian Ocean island? Already a very good decision. But here’s the thing: the real fun starts when the trip gets a second act. Enter the multi-centre escape plan: a way to give paradise more than one note, with more variety in the mix and a very satisfying change of scenery halfway through.
We’ve teamed up with Constance Hotels & Resorts, a brand known for standout dining, nature-rich settings and warm hospitality across the Indian Ocean, to show you four ways to pair different stays in one richer, brighter itinerary.
Why choose a multi-centre holiday with Constance?
Because contrast is where the magic happens. Across the Indian Ocean, Constance brings more than one side of island life into play: grand beach resorts in Mauritius, off-grid Rodrigues retreats, granite-and-green luxury in the Seychelles and blue-lagoon life in the Maldives. One stop might bring marine-park snorkelling and championship golf; the next, mangrove-fringed dining, yoga, cycling trails or a picnic walk to a hidden cove.
The point is not to cram in more. It’s to choose combos that click. Here are four ways to do it.
Mauritius twin-centre: the five-star switch-up
Best for: golf and great wine
Mauritius does not exactly underperform from one address, but splitting your stay lets you see more of what makes the island tick. Constance Belle Mare Plage and Constance Prince Maurice make a brilliant Mauritius match: the clever “upgrade your stay” move, with beach days and golf first, then mangroves, lagoon views and quieter five-star finesse.
Start at Constance Belle Mare Plage, a landmark east-coast haven. There is a long sweep of sand, a generous choice of rooms and suites, space for families, quieter corners for couples, and two 18-hole championship golf courses nearby. Better still, you do not need to be golf-mad to enjoy it. Book a lesson, spend an hour at the driving range or play nine holes before heading back to the shore.
Then there is Blue Penny Cellar, where the wine list means business: cellar tastings and trophy bottles, paired with steak cooked just how you like it.
After that, head to Constance Prince Maurice for a dialled-up finale. This is the flagship Mauritius stay: elegant, grown-up and deeply romantic. Don’t miss dinner at Le Barachois, the floating restaurant reached by a lantern-lit walkway.

"What stood out most about Constance Belle Mare Plage was its warmth. From the service to the atmosphere, it felt like a true reflection of the island and its people." – Jack Pike, Store Manager, Kuoni Bluewater
Mauritius and Rodrigues: the classic and the curveball
Best for: travellers who want classic Mauritius with an off-radar add-on
Mauritius is the island everyone has pinned to the dream board. Rodrigues is the one people forget to add, which is exactly why you should. Pair them and you get the best of both: Mauritius for pool dips, spa days and beach-bar decisions, then Rodrigues for a more outdoorsy tempo, with coastal walks, Creole markets, sea swims and that lovely feeling of being far from the usual holiday circuit.
This pairing taps into the C side of Constance: relaxed, upbeat and built around the idea of the island as your playground. Start at C Mauritius on the east coast. Paddleboard, snorkel, pool-hop, book into the spa, then stick around for Sessions by the C, the resort’s toes-in-the-sand music nights.
Over on wild Rodrigues, C Rodrigues Mourouk sits on the south coast, right by one of the island’s best kitesurfing spots. This is the bit for lagoon dips, bike rides and treks through forests and valleys. The hotel has a fun feel too, with colourful design and upcycled details, making it a handy base for exploring further.
Another way to do it? Pair Constance Prince Maurice with Constance Tekoma: Mauritius at its most romantic, then Rodrigues from a villa above one of its loveliest beaches.

Seychelles twin-centre: the beach-and-boulder show
Best for: families, golfers, honeymooners and beach-hoppers
The Seychelles has the scenery gene in overdrive. Pale coves curve into clear shallows, granite boulders sit at the water’s edge and Jurassic-looking hills climb behind the coast. A little gentle island hopping brings more than a new room key: Mahé gives you snorkel-ready bays, forest trails and a livelier base, while Praslin puts you closer to some of Seychelles’ most famous natural wonders.
Start at Constance Ephelia on Mahé, a palm-wrapped resort tucked between two beaches and the Port Launay Marine Park. This is the get-out-there half of the holiday: snorkelling, kayaking, zip-lining, hiking, tennis or slipping away to the Spa Village. One of the largest spas in the Indian Ocean, it brings treatment pavilions, a thermal pool and steamy rituals designed for legs that have hiked, zipped, paddled and played.
Food keeps up with the setting too: sushi and French-Asian dishes at Cyann, or cocktails and light bites at Kabana when you are still in beach mode.
Then hop to Praslin for Constance Lemuria, a member of The Leading Hotels of the World and home to Seychelles’ only 18-hole championship golf course. Tee off with the ocean in view, wander down to Anse Georgette, learn about nesting turtles and visit nearby Vallée de Mai, where giant coco de mer trees shift the mood from beach-bright to deep green.

Maldives multi-centre: manta rays to martinis
Best for: snorkelling, overwater spa time and private-pool villas
The Maldives might look like the ultimate fly-and-flop escape. One villa, one glittering sweep of lagoon, nowhere else to be. Heavenly, yes. But this is a country of more than 1,000 islands, so why only meet one?
A Constance Maldives multi-centre lets you experience two resorts that share the same thoughtful service but strike a very different note.
Constance Moofushi is blissfully low-key, but it’s no sleepy sandbank. It’s all-inclusive, strong on R&R and set in one of the world’s best diving spots, close to the migration route of manta rays and whale sharks. Days can mean reef swims, diving or heading out by dhoni, before the action shifts to Manta Bar for nightly DJ sets, weekly live guitar and Boduberu music on Sundays.
Constance Halaveli feels more dressed-up. Honeymooners get their headline moments, families are welcome and every villa comes with a private pool. There are watersports when you want speed, snorkelling when you don’t, and well-stocked wine cellars for anyone who knows their way around a wine list. The spa gets its own spot on stilts, with sea air, warm oil and the lap of the lagoon below.
