What a find
Just spent a week staying in the Eagles Palace Villas with our grown up kids. We stayed in a one bedroom ocean view villa with private pool and two one bedroom villas with their own pools. The villas were stunning. The resort itself is an hour and 50 minutes from the airport and is self contained making it the perfect place to be during these Covid times - the staff at the hotel are doing everything possible to make you feel completely safe but in such a way that you are also able to totally relax. Four of the five restaurants were open and the food was consistently of a high standard. We particularly liked the fine dining restaurant and the beach/seafood restaurant. One of our party was gluten and dairy free and all the restaurants went out of their way to make sure she was well catered for. Every single member of staff went out of their way to be friendly whilst also maintaining a high level of professionalism. We would not hesitate to recommend the villas to anyone and we will definitely return to the hotel in the future.
A beautiful location. A villa that was spotless and a view that was unbelievable. Clean and immaculate. A bathroom wing nor a room! A raised bed with a view. A pool to cool down in! The staff were friendly and helpful at all times and got to know your name quickly. All covid protocols followed from temperature taken on arrival and all staff in masks. Yes it’s different but did not feel uncomfortable. Good choice of restaurants and did the best they could in the circumstances. Breakfast served on our terrace every morning always delivered on time with a smile. Beach was beautiful sand and clear water. We never used water facilities as quick week break but plenty on offer. Would highly recommend this hotel. Have done the Greek islands but never mainland. Already planning return! This is my type of hotel! Missing already ☹️
The best holidays
Our stay at Eagles Palace was brilliant! Everyone was so kind and willing to help us all the time. The room was the cleanest and it was so beautiful and comfortable. We were feeling very safe everywhere despite the covid-19. The welcome drink was exactly what we needed when we arrived at the hotel and people at Reception were so nice and helpful. The food was delicious! We were having such an amazing breakfast and dinner at Melathron and the best homemade pizza at Vinum. And of course we had the best fish at Armyra, the restaurant by the sea. The Kids Club was also amazing and the babysitting service excellent. The girls were so nice and friendly! Everyone at Eagles Palace was so kind and professional. We will come back next year for sure and we definately recommend this hotel to everyone.
I have nothing but a happy memory from our holiday. During a time of concern the Eagles Palace staff were welcoming, attentive and made our stay. The facilities, grounds and location is very special. A warm thanks to Salis who looked after us every morning for breakfast and the General Manager (Angelino I think) whom worked hard all day every day to ensure all guest services were on top form. The pool side staff were attentive and engaging. Everywhere was spotlessly clean with our villa kept clean every day. I’d recommend this holiday to all. Thanks again.
Majestic Holiday - Again!
Eagles Villas is an exceptional destination. Elevated above Eagles Palace, the villas are cleverly designed to catch the sea breeze and to give you the views across the bay. For a family of four the one bedroom villa with pool is a fabulous choice - designed in a U-shape, there is a covered outdoor terrace space in the middle which is perfect for escaping the afternoon sun around the table - and the kids get their own beds next to each other - and their own bathroom. Buggies are available all the time to zoom you up and down - which in the mid day heat is a welcome treat - and the staff are so kind and happy to pick you up, even if they are just passing you by. The beach is gorgeous - mainly sand but pebbly bordering on rocky when first entering the sea. Good for all kid ages - from toddlers to teenagers. The water sports Scott Dunn programme is exceptional- a big shout out and thank you to Mike, Cristos and Matt for the ongoing water skiing and wind surfing lessons!!!! The kids absolutely loved their time with you all. The food on the whole is pretty good. There seems to be a bit of juggling, given the complexities and complications created by Covid19. Food on the beach comes in a box and takes a little while to turn up - but the staff are working flat out in very hot conditions so you can’t fault their efforts. Armyra is a great choice for lunch. There are a couple of “gastro” restaurants which are a joy to visit. And then there is the main restaurant- Melathron - the buffet for breakfast and dinner - and the little Kamares where you can have breakfast if you are in the Villas. For a buffet- everyone goes out of their way to make your meal a very enjoyable experience. From Sakis and to all his team - in both restaurants- they really go the extra mile to give you the experience you want - from remembering your typical family morning drinks order to hunting (and finding!) an old bottle of wine from the cellar in the evening, always with a smile. Sakis was amazing at making sure we had everything we needed, from bringing surprise plates of pastries in the morning to making sure our son had Spaghetti Bolognese when nothing on the buffet caught his interest - thank you so much!!!! We can’t wait to come back again next year!
