24-acre gardens are home to the traditionally designed and down-to-earth Melia Bali.
Beachfront in Nusa Dua is a prime resort location, but this Balinese bolthole doesn’t just rest on its exceptional setting. There are wonderfully natural-feeling gardens scattered with palms, bougainvillea and water features, and the resort has an authentic Balinese style with teakwood, deity statues and thatch all used in abundance. Then there’s the YHI Spa which sits in a shaded corner of the resort, not too far from the slither of golden sands; our go-to spot for a well-deserved treatment is without a doubt, one of the open-air massage gazebos that are located poolside, hidden away in the gardens or just steps from the beach.
Why we love Melia Bali
-
A wonderfully positioned resort located on Nusa Dua's beach and surrounded by tropical gardens
-
Immerse yourself in Balinese culture with a traditional dance class or cooking lesson
-
Be pampered in the YHI Spa or in one of the open-air massage gazebos
-
Practice your golf swing on the resort's simulator
This resort has earned internationally recognised certification that conform to standards set by the Global Sustainable Tourism Council.
Rooms
The authentic island vibe continues into the 495 rooms, suites and villas with the same dark wood furnishings as well as Balinese art works adorning the walls. There are Meliá Garden View and Premium Garden View Rooms that, as the name suggests, overlook the landscaped grounds. However, we highly recommend upgrading to one of the Duplex Junior Suites or Lagoon Access Junior Suites, the latter of which has direct access to a shared pool from the terrace. There are also Family Suites that have a master bedroom on the upper floor and a second bedroom with twin beds downstairs.
The Level
The Level Junior Suites, The Level Family Suites, The Level Lagoon Access Junior Suite, The Level Romance Suites and the extremely spacious The Level Garden Villa all come with a whole host of added benefits. These include access to The Level Lounge, a private pool and beach area and a concierge service that you can use to make preferential reservations at the à la carte restaurants and book 25%-off spa treatments and free use of the hydromassage amd relaxation area (some areas within The Level area are for guests over 12 years).
