Discover Cartagena's historic centre on a private half day walking tour. Begin with a visit to the Monasterio and the Iglesia de La Popa constructed in 1606; here you can enjoy all-encompassing views of the city, port and Caribbean Sea. The next stop is San Felipe Fortress situated on San Lázaro hill, built to defend the city from pirate sieges. In the Ciudad Vieja (old city) you will visit the 17th-Century Church of the San Pedro Claver compound, the 18th-Century Inquisition Palace and the Bovedas – former dungeons built into the city walls which are now handicraft markets.
