 Spier Hotel

An eco-friendly Winelands haven

Set on the idyllic Spier Wine Farm - a sprawling haven dedicated to sustainability, conservation and producing truly delicious wines.

Spier is a family-run farm and award-winning wine estate at Stellenbosch. There's plenty to see and do here - mountain biking through the vineyards, picnics on the lawn and of course, wine tasting. The Spier contemporary art collection is one of the largest in South Africa and alongside an impressive gallery, you will find sculptures throughout the gardens. Creating a village setting, the modern rooms and suites are set in clusters with vineyard and garden views. There's a strong focus on sustainability across Spier's 132 hectares with much of the food grown on the farm and the rest sourced from local producers.

What's Included

Breakfast.

The treatments at the Wellness Spa are based around nature with many indigenous ingredients sourced from the Cape Floral Kingdom.

Enjoy a bike or Segway ride through the vineyard, explore one of the many self-guided walking trails  through the estate, book a wine tasting or pick up a piece of local art at the craft market.

Growing for Good is Spier's initiative for positive social and environmental change. The Spier garden provides training to grow much of the fruit and vegetables for the restaurants and uses Indian runner ducks to naturally deal with slugs and snails. All waste water is recycled.

The Buzz Club takes care of little ones aged from 3 to 11. Children will love the Elemental Play Garden. Linked by a waterway, the four sections represent water, fire, air and earth.
