A light-filled medina riad with a heated courtyard pool, rooftop terrace, and Marrakech’s sights reachable on foot
Riad XO gives the classic Marrakech riad a lighter, more pared-back look. Twelve rooms and suites wrap around two leafy patios, where orange trees, fountains, and a heated pool soften the heat and bustle outside. Bedrooms are bright and high-ceilinged, with warm wood, woven textiles, and bathrooms finished in smooth, hand-polished Moroccan tadelakt plaster.
Upstairs, the rooftop has plenty of both sun and shade, with loungers, greenery, a bar, and a Jacuzzi. Step onto the street outside, and you’re straight into the northern medina, with Ben Youssef Madrasa and Marrakech Museum a few minutes away, and Jemaa el-Fna around 15 minutes on foot.

Upstairs is made for lingering. Shaded seating, sun loungers, a bar, and a Jacuzzi sit among the greenery, giving you somewhere to come back to after a few hours in the souks.

The courtyard pool is heated throughout the year, a small detail that makes a big difference outside high summer. It turns the patio into somewhere you’ll actually use between sightseeing trips, even when Marrakech mornings and evenings are cooler.

The location makes sightseeing easy. Ben Youssef Madrasa and Marrakech Museum are only a few minutes away, Le Jardin Secret is around 10 minutes on foot, and Jemaa el-Fna around 15.

The interiors give Marrakech a lighter touch. Bedrooms feel bright and uncluttered, with tall ceilings, pale natural shades, warm wood, and woven textiles. Tadelakt, zellige, and traditional craft keep the sense of place without filling every surface.
Facilities
Food is rooted in Moroccan home cooking, with fresh ingredients and recipes designed for sharing. Breakfast brings Moroccan and continental dishes, then evenings move into tagines, couscous, and other familiar local flavours. The rooftop is part of the pleasure too, with tables among the greenery and private terrace dinners available when you want to make more of an evening.

Breakfast combines Moroccan and continental choices. In the evening, the focus is convivial Moroccan cooking, served on the rooftop terrace with the bar close by for a drink afterwards.
Private Rooftop Dining
A private candlelit dinner can be arranged on the terrace. Jacuzzi time or a couples massage can also be added if you want to turn dinner into more of an occasion.

The spa centres on a traditional hammam, with massages and treatments drawing on Moroccan beauty rituals and ingredients. The rooftop Jacuzzi gives you another place to switch off after a day in the medina.
Thirty solar panels generate renewable energy for the riad’s heating and hot water, supporting its drive towards energy self-sufficiency.
The Family Suite makes a medina stay much easier with children, with two separate bedrooms and two bathrooms. One bedroom has a king-size bed and the other twins, so everyone gets a proper sleeping space. The heated courtyard pool is a welcome place to come back to between sightseeing trips, particularly outside the hottest months.
