A design-led retreat with Atlas views, standout pools, and the medina a taxi ride away
Park Hyatt Marrakech feels very different from the city’s palace-style resorts. Sixteen low, ochre-coloured pavilions sit among palms, olive trees, and jacarandas beside Al Maaden Golf Course, with windows and terraces turned towards the Atlas Mountains. Inside, pure-wool Berber rugs, headboards inspired by traditional Tataoui roofing, raw-earth tones, bronze, and contemporary art give the hotel a Moroccan identity without piling on the ornament. The historic medina is around 9 miles away, so this is somewhere to enjoy the resort as much as Marrakech itself.
Why we love Park Hyatt Marrakech
-
The hotel is arranged as 16 pavilions around courtyards rather than one big block, with more than 700 artworks and decorative pieces throughout. In the lobby, almost 600 hand-crafted ceramic pieces by Moroccan artist Mounat Charrat hang overhead like a constellation.
-
The pool setup gets the balance right. The main outdoor pool is reserved for adults, while families have the Oasis Pool. There’s a third outdoor pool too, plus an indoor pool at the spa.
-
The spa is worth leaving time for. There are 10 treatment rooms, including two couples’ suites, plus an indoor pool, sauna, jetted tub, and traditional Moroccan hammam.
-
You don’t need to play golf to appreciate the setting. Al Maaden’s 18-hole course brings open views and greenery to this side of the hotel, while golfers have the course right next door.
Facilities
Dining is contemporary and varied, moving from reworked Moroccan and Arab dishes to Mediterranean and Japanese-Peruvian Nikkei flavours. The settings vary too, with shaded poolside pergolas and Atlas views at one end of the scale and a book-lined, fireplace-warmed lounge for afternoon tea, tapas, and cocktails at the other.
TFAYA – brasserie arabesque
Chef Issam Rhachi takes familiar dishes from Morocco and across the Arab world and gives them a contemporary finish. Breakfast is served here too.
Pavillon Terrace & Pool
Tables sit beneath shaded pergolas beside the outdoor pools, with the Atlas Mountains beyond. The menu moves between Mediterranean dishes and Nikkei flavours, and it’s open for both lunch and dinner.
Living Room
Bookshelves and a fireplace make this feel much more residential than a conventional hotel bar. Come for sweet and savoury afternoon tea, then return later for tapas and cocktails. It stays open until 1am.

Le Spa* is one of the best reasons to stay outside central Marrakech. It’s filled with daylight and has ten treatment rooms, including two couples’ suites, plus an indoor pool, sauna, jetted tub, and a traditional Moroccan hammam. If you’ve never tried a hammam, the 60-minute Nectarome Hammam Escape is a good introduction: black olive soap, a full-body exfoliation, then a mineral-rich ghassoul clay wrap. For a longer ritual, the three-hour Harmony Nectarome adds a deep back massage and facial. There’s also a 24-hour Technogym fitness centre, with studios for boxing, yoga, Pilates, and meditation.
Park Hyatt Marrakech sits within Hyatt’s World of Care programme, which focuses on areas including climate and water resilience, waste reduction, and responsible sourcing. The hotel also works with a local non-profit through Hyatt’s RiseHY programme, providing hospitality training and recognised qualifications for young people starting their careers.
The pool setup works particularly well for families. The main pool is adults-only, while children are welcome at the Oasis Pool, keeping the two experiences separate.
The Kidz Club welcomes four-to-12-year-olds, with daily indoor and outdoor activities including painting, drawing, pottery, water games, and gardening. The two-bedroom Family Suite gives everyone more privacy, with a king bedroom, twin bedroom, separate living and dining areas, and a large terrace.
