Easter lunch at Colony Club
I have gone to the buffet at Colony Club whenever there is a special occasion. My past experiences have been wonderful. The food has always been amazing and the atmosphere pleasant. Four of us decided to go there for the Easter buffet. The first thing we asked for was a wine list. After 20 minutes I finally went to the bar to get it myself. When we got up to go to the buffet we were shooed back to our table and told we would be advised when we could go to the buffet so we sat down again. Two minutes later we were told to go to the buffet. When I got to the buffet I couldnt believe my eyes. The salads looked totally lackluster. It looked like a buffet at a fast food restaurant. There was no sushi as had been advertised on the menu. When it came to the hot food it was just as disappointing. I asked for potatoes and was served 2 small pieces. I had ham which was extremely dry and roast beef which was tough and too well done. The only highlight was the grilled langoustines. Dessert was another disappointment. The cake looked good but was dry and blah. I gave up then. Wine service was strange. Each person was given a little dribble in the glass. Hardly two mouthfulls. This was such a disappointing experience after having such excellent dining in the past. Perhaps it was an off day but I dont think I will be rushing back to try again.
Such a disappointment, we go every Easter and have always throughly enjoyed it, this year however was another story. The menu was not as advertised or as in previous years but the price remained high, the quality was also far off the mark. Sadly we will not return
Colony Club , safe and as beautiful as ever
2020 has been a difficult year but thank you for making us feel safe and happy and for the making the holiday as wonderful as the previous 3 years . The staff at this hotel are so special , my daughter celebrated her birthday on holiday and they arrived with a beautiful chocolate cake . Lunch is always perfect just a few steps from the beach ! Breakfast was slightly different as not the normal buffet but the choice & quality was excellent .Everything has been spruced up whilst closed on their Covid break , all spotlessly clean and new loungers and cushions around the pool . We love the ocean view room and listening to the waves at night ! Sitting watching the sunset in the evening is magical . Looking forward to coming back in 2021
My partner and I stayed here as part of a dual visit to Barbados, the first being at Sandals. The hotel is located on a fantastic stretch of beach with calm waters, which was the highlight for us. The room was beautiful although the bathroom could perhaps use a little update although perfectly serviceable. We found the hotel food to be nice when using room service or eating in the beachside restaurant, however, breakfast was a disappointment to us, so much the last two days we could not face it. If going out on the evening a taxi is required to the main restaurants along the west coast. The staff were all friendly and helpful. Unsure if we would return.
i had a excellent time here nice staff good pools good food amazing sweets and rooms amazing waiter i want to give a shout out to trevor eboni and shecwin the cleaners were flexible wich really helped us
