Restaurants & bars
You can dine at three out of the four restaurants on the all-inclusive meal plan. Each of the restaurants make the most of their spectacular setting and offer al fresco dining and ocean views. The casual beachside Barefoot Grill is the place to go to grab a snack or enjoy a light lunch, such as the Cajun catch-of-the-day, homemade burgers and fajitas. Sea Grape offers stunning views over the bay and the weekly Caribbean barbecue is the perfect place to enjoy local grilled specialities accompanied by the island rhythms of a local steel-drum band.
For a truly romantic experience, stroll down the beach to The Gauguin where you can enjoy candlelit dinners infused with flavours from West Indies, Pacific Rim and Europe in your own private thatched cabana. Specialties include jerked chicken and peppered yellowfin tuna. At Ismay's Restaurant you can dine on international cuisine with local flavours and ingredients from the resort's own garden, and a beachfront setting (at a supplement per person) and there is a telescope so that you can enjoy a spot of romantic star-gazing.
The new Coffee Shop is the perfect place to go to get your caffeine fix or indulge in tasty treats. Choose from a range of drinks including coffees, herbal teas and fresh juices, accompanied by homemade pastries and chocolates, freshly baked cakes, brownies, muffins and cookies. Head to the new Rum Shack for a traditional taste of the Caribbean. Choose from 20 rums and enjoy them straight, on ice or in a delicious cocktail. (Drinks here are included as part of the all-inclusive package but for rum degustation and tasting sessions there is an additional charge).
A selection of open-air bars include the Lounge Bar where you can enjoy cocktails, hors d’oeuvres and live nightly entertainment, and the TeePee where you can sample the Galley Bay Special – a delicious frozen blend of rum, coconut cream, grenadine and banana - beneath the bar’s distinctive high-peaked roof. The Gauguin Bar offers a quiet and romantic setting. Ismay's Bar is nestled in the gardens and boasts a superb collection of fine wines.
Please note that a dress code applies, with the exception of the Barefoot Grill. For breakfast and lunch, shoes must be worn at all times and bathing suits must be covered and dry. After 7pm men are required to wear collared shirts with long pants or stylish jeans. T-shirts, shorts, capri pants and ripped jeans are not accepted. Women are requested to wear dresses, skirts, long pants or stylish tailored shorts or jeans. Short shorts and tank tops shouldn’t be worn during dinner.
