The Kuoni Collection of luxury Tanzania holidays

Tanzania’s landscape varies from forested mountains and flat plains where the game roams freely, to snowcapped mountains that provide a dramatic backdrop. This is a country of incredible diversity.

Tanzania’s plays host to incredible safari experiences. The Serengeti is perhaps the most famous national park in the world. Known locally as ‘Siringitu’ – the place where the land runs on forever – its rolling plains are home to a spectacular array of wildlife including big cats, elephants, and thundering herds of wildebeest during the great migration.

Tanzania is also home to the beautiful Ngorongoro Crater. A UNESCO World Heritage Site, the crater was formed by the collapse of a volcano over two million years ago. Its rich and fertile landscape is home to the densest concentration of wildlife in Africa, with grasslands, forests, swamps and a soda lake providing habitat for black rhino, hippo, flamingo, elephant and a large lion population.

The ‘spice island’ of Zanzibar is an unspoilt jewel in the Indian Ocean just 60 miles off Africa’s East coast. Home to pristine beaches and a range of wonderful resorts, rustic Zanzibar is steeped in history and its fascinating capital, Stone Town, is a maze of narrow streets with incredible architecture.
