Big cuddle and a kiss every day
My heading says everything about our stay in this hotel. You wake up and the energy from the staff, and the happiness this place gives you a big cuddle and a kiss every morning. What a fantastic team who the owners should be very proud of the time they spend with you, advising or just a chat. Hope I remember the names who went above and beyond in their job scale. Manila, Oscar, Dorta I think sorry if wrong. And Carlos. Fifth time and hopefully back out November.
Fantastic and friendly hotel, made for an easy holiday
Stayed for a 7 day break here in Tenerife, half-board at this excellent 4 star hotel. All of the staff were friendly and welcoming and everything was explained to us clearly so there were no surprises. The first room we were given had a small issue, but we were moved with no trouble and there were no issues with the second. The breakfast and dinner selections were excellent, and a real effort was made to make things varied and interesting. Very pleased with the vegetarian selection though our only suggestion would be to mark the veggie dishes with a V or sticker for clarity. There was plenty of space at the pool and our room had sunloungers we could use. The hotel is very well placed for the beach with a supermarket and pharmacy less than 5 minutes walk away. Although the hotel itself has no parking, there is a supermarket carpark which you can park in for a minimal fee (we had €25 for the week) and could be accessed 24/7. We had a wonderful stay here and would happily recommend the hotel and visit again.

Hotel was lovely, staff very friendly, rooms modern & comfortable, with great amenities, fridge, coffee maker, kettle, free safe, shower powerful, pool area, tranquil pools lovely temperature, sun beds very comfortable, great location short walk to lovely beaches shops & bars & restaurants, taxis, supermarkets, and twice weekly market on the doorstep, breakfast plentiful & fresh, only downside was evening meal not to our liking but plenty of lovely fresh rolls, cheeses, & desserts and only other downside maybe could have some more upbeat entertainment as was very low key and more for the older clientele even though we are in our early 50s all in all a lovely hotel we have already booked again for next year through easyJet holidays on a bed and breakfast basis because there are so many lovely restaurants all around.
My favourite hotel
We have recently returned from two weeks at the Colon Guanahani, our third visit. The hotel is even more impressive since the pandemic. Removal of some low hedges outside certain ground floor rooms has made those rooms feel lighter and is appreciated. The hotel has maintained its high standards with regard to cleanliness and all staff are very pleasant and helpful. The food is excellent with loads of choice.The pools are kept beautifully. We hope to return in the not too distant future.

...to choose this hotel! First of all, you can certainly highlight the location very positively. The beach, smaller shops, supermarkets (the one right around the corner is open from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. and has everything you need for everyday life), malls, bus stations (e.g. for €1.45/person for 8 stations to las Américas) and restaurants are within walking distance in a few minutes. The hotel also has its own very good restaurant, which offers a very extensive and varied buffet for both breakfast and dinner. And if you don't find something right away, you can try show cooking, e.g. B. a fresh piece of meat, fish, or fry mussels. Both the pool area and the roof terrace (also with a pool) are nicely divided and always well maintained and clean. The towels provided by the hotel can be changed daily. The rooms are impeccable, almost oversized for two people. The cleaning staff provide excellent service and leave nothing to be desired in terms of cleanliness. Especially you have to emphasize the friendliness and courtesy of the staff. Of course, you can say "that's what they get paid for", but in my opinion that goes even further and would certainly even be appropriate for a 5***** hotel. Everyone has a nice word for the guest and, if necessary, takes the time for a little chat if the situation permits. My wife and I really appreciated that from the first minute. @ColonGuanahaniTeam: if you are reading this, and I hope you are, thank you very much for our wonderful holiday and the carefree stay in your hotel.
