This resort has a spectacular oceanfront setting and exceptional sports and leisure facilities.
This large resort has influences from Portugal’s Arab heritage, and beautiful architecture which creates a charming setting. It sits in beautifully landscaped gardens overlooking the Atlantic Ocean and red sandstone cliffs, with direct access by lift and steps down to Praia da Falésia. There's a huge choice of 760 rooms, suites,residences, terraces and townhouses at Pine Cliffs all located at different hotels within the wider resort. Firstly, there's Pine Cliffs Hotel, A Luxury Collection Resort, a favourite spot with families thanks to it's close-to-it-all setting at the heart of the resort. Here, you have Deluxe Rooms, larger Grand Deluxe Rooms and Junior Suites as well as two-level Duplex Suites which have separate a living room and bedroom. The wonderfully modern and more upscale Pine Cliffs Ocean Suites, A Luxury Collection Resort is situated right next to the Serenity Spa (you'll have free access to the Thermal Oasis area of the spa if you stay here) and has a quiet-zone pool that is perfect for chilled out days under the sun. There are Junior Ocean Suites, the only accommodation in this area of the resort that is not offered on a self-catering basis, alongside One and Two Bedroom Suites which all have a fully equipped kitchen.
As the name suggests, Pine Cliffs Residence, A Luxury Collection Resort, is home to Two and Three Bedroom Residences that will provide you and your family with a home away from home vibe. This section of the resort is a ten-minute walk from the beach access point, but the pool is the largest at Pine Cliffs. Each of the apartment-like residences feature a kitchenette where you can prepare home-cooked meals if you don't fancy heading out to one of the resort's restaurants.
Over at Pine Cliffs Gardens, which is located close to the entrance of the resort, you'll be surrounded by plenty of green space and be able to choose some of the resort's newest accommodation options: the One, Two and Three Bedroom Garden Suites. Close to the Gardens is Pine Cliffs Village, which is home to modern two-storey Terraces which feature a couple of bedrooms, living areas and a kitchen, and the more traditionally styled. Finally, is Pine Cliffs Suites, the closest accommodation to the golf course, where there are Two and Three Bedroom Suites.

There are two ACTIVE health clubs, one at the hotel and one at the Pine Cliffs Residences. Both have Technogym equipment, sauna and steam room. Pine Cliffs is committed to its sustainability with a focus on energy efficiency and social responsibility. LED technology has been installed for the resort's lighting, diesel buggies have been replaced by electric ones and the use of bicycles and Segways are encouraged to get around the resort. In recognition of the resort's practices and programmes, they have been awarded Green Key certification, a standard of excellence in enviromental responsibility and sustainable operations.
It's no wonder Pine Cliffs was voted Europe's Best Luxury Family Resort by the World Luxury Hotel Awards. Porta Pirata is the children's village, taking care of children from 6 months to 8 years. Here there are two life-sized pirate ships, a bouncy castle, trampoline, pool and mini golf. During the holidays there's a programme of daily activities and there are summer football and tennis academies.
Pirata Children's Club and Juniors Club is available at an additional charge. Available from April to October.
The Pine Cliffs Golf Course has a driving range and golf academy. This nine-hole course has a wonderful cliff top setting overlooking the sands and Atlantic Ocean. Test your skills on the sixth hole, also known as Devil's Parlour due to the large ravine your shot needs to clear.
