Brilliant post-COVID holiday
This was my first holiday post-COVID lockdown. We were nervous about travelling and unsure about what the holiday experience woul be like. Fortunately any concerns we had went away as soon as we arrived. Check-in was slower than normal as the staff explained the new rules and procedures to ensure our stay was as safe as possible. Room quality: The room we were given was enormous. It had a large balcony which received sun all morning. The room was clean, tidy and quiet. Cleanliness: Hand sanitiser was everywhere and mask wearing was mandatory inside. Signs reminded guests to wear masks, wash hands, use hand sanitiser and maintain a social distance. We were very impressed with how the staff enforced the compliance of these rules. Internet: The complimentary wifi was easy to access and quick enough for general usage. Room service: The hotel offered complimentary room service due to COVID which was nice. When we ordered food to the room it came quick and was still hot. The menu was smaller than I'd expect for a hotel this size but still offered a good range of options. Breakfast buffet: I'd feared COVID had put an end to the days of breakfast buffets so it was good to see Hilton still going ahead. To manage nthe number eating at any one time you have to book a time slot for breakfast. We arrived for our time slot and were promptly shown to the table. To get food you had to stand in line (socially distanced) till you got served. You'd then ask the staff member to provide you with your food. This was a slow and tedious process so we tended to load up our plates rather than going up repeatedly but overall reasonable given COVID restrictions. Overall a very enjoyable stay. 5/5
We stayed in room 3010 from November 4th to 14th and had a great holiday at this beautiful resort. Comfortable rooms, good food in the bar and relaxing in the 7 Seven Spa. What sticks with me the most is the great service from all the staff, the super friendly and fantastic service. Special thanks to Bruno from the front desk, Paulo from the breakfast and Rui and Arthur from the bar. We are sure we will come back!
Brilliant place to stay
Despite various COVID restrictions, the Hotel and its staff were brilliant. Spotlessly clean, superb service and a really good place to stay. The shuttle service to the Marina was very welcome. Breakfast service was very well organised taking in to account the COVID restrictions. Pool area was well maintained and throughout the hotel the staff were a credit to the Hilton brand.
Spent three weeks in the main Hilton hotel in a one bedroom apartment. Holiday has been plagued by cockroaches. I have highlighted this to the staff but the roaches are still coming into the apartment despite the apartment being dead cleaned twice. Today was the last straw; I can deal with the bathroom and kitchen being out of bounds between 10.00pm and 7.00am. However, today I awoke to find large cockroaches in the bathroom, kitchen and on the curtains next to my bed in the bedroom. Complained again to staff. They have been great, of course they have, it’s the hotel that is the problem.
Beautiful hotel - an oasis
We just stayed one night and could have stayed much longer. Quality from start to finish and reassuringly clean and safe during the Covid context. Lovely breakfast in our room. The pool is well situated with plenty of loungers and bar by the pool serves a good lunch too. Highly recommend.
