Spent three weeks in the main Hilton hotel in a one bedroom apartment. Holiday has been plagued by cockroaches. I have highlighted this to the staff but the roaches are still coming into the apartment despite the apartment being dead cleaned twice. Today was the last straw; I can deal with the bathroom and kitchen being out of bounds between 10.00pm and 7.00am. However, today I awoke to find large cockroaches in the bathroom, kitchen and on the curtains next to my bed in the bedroom. Complained again to staff. They have been great, of course they have, it’s the hotel that is the problem.
Beautiful hotel - an oasis
We just stayed one night and could have stayed much longer. Quality from start to finish and reassuringly clean and safe during the Covid context. Lovely breakfast in our room. The pool is well situated with plenty of loungers and bar by the pool serves a good lunch too. Highly recommend.
Fantastic Hotel and exceptional staff
We are staying at the Hilton Vilamoura with our 3 year old and have had the most wonderful time despite the Covid restrictions. We have been treated wonderfully by the staff who have all been exceptionally friendly. Covid measures in place have been balanced out with the hotel offering free room service as unfortunately there is no mini bar. Breakfast is probably better as you are served all the usual items but by a member of staff. Mask must be worn in common areas and walking to rooms, lavatories etc but only makes you feel safer. The sun loungers are sanitised after use. Rooms are still cleaned and the children's play park is still open. What a great holiday! Thank you for having us and we would definitely book to stay here again 😊
Wonderful Hotel and Apartments
We spent 5 days in apartment 210 overlooking the pool. The apartment was lovely 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, modern kitchen, big living room and two balconies. The hotel is one of the nicest we’ve stayed in Europe. The staff are amazing, so friendly and nothing is too much trouble. The mini bus to the marina and beach was an added bonus and the drivers are so helpful. Definitely recommend this hotel and apartments, can’t wait to go back.
It was ok, but not spectacular!
We had booked to stay at the other side of the complex, which is only apartments. However, after we found out the air-conditioner was not working, we ended up staying here in a family suite. The suite is fantastic: 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, a living room, a table, 3 TVs and a small fridge. Great for us, a couple with a 19 and 15-year-old. I have nothing to say about the room and how everything was nice and clean. Another important issue is that there is free parking at the hotel. Things that did not go so well: Regarding the transfer to the beach., there were always a lot of people, so we had to wait. I understand that they cannot take as many people now because of the Corona virus, but maybe they should use a bigger van! Sometimes they would use a van that could only take 5 people...we once waited more than 30 minutes...It was very disappointing. The hotel is far from the beach, I thought that with the transfer it would not be an issue, but it is. So, please consider this when booking. I guess it depends what you are going there for. It was, however, great to have the reserved places on the beach. Supposedly because of Covid, we had to book breakfast. It is rather inconvenient when you are on vacation to have to book breakfast the day before and then when you get there you have to wait anyways, so I really did not appreciate that.
