With 21 restaurants open during high season, food is a particular highlight, always beautifully presented offering a wide choice at every meal and including dishes from all around the world. In the evenings the Piazza Luisa comes alive as guests sip cool drinks, enjoy the evening entertainment or wander around the boutiques. The dining options are seemingly endless with a wide range of international cuisines from Brazilian to Indian. Three Michelin starred chefs have their own restaurants at Forte Village Resort, including celebrity chef, Heinz Beck, and Trattoria Italiana, which is overseen by Emanuele Scarello. There is also a Forte Gourmet cooking school, directed by Rocco Iannone, where guests can learn to prepare delicious traditional Italian fare.
Forte Village boasts a collection of sports academies, including a Chelsea Football Club Soccer School for children between the ages of 4 and 14. At certain times of the year children can partake in rugby or cricket courses led by England legends. Throughout the summer months Italian and international artists perform under the stars at the Forte Arena, plus performances like Swan Lake and Sleeping Beauty.
You can enjoy a wide range of superb sports, leisure and health facilities including a choice of ten swimming pools – including the newly-refurbished Oasis pool at the heart of the resort – and children’s pools as well as two water slides located at the resort’s waterpark Baia delle Palme.
Windsurfing, sailing, scuba diving, waterskiing, table tennis, 12 floodlit tennis courts (including six clay courts, one real grass court, one artificial turf court and two hardcourts) basketball, a 27-hole golf course (five miles away), football, beach volleyball, boat hire, bicycle hire, horse riding and many more activities and facilities are also available. At Leisureland there is a go-kart track, ten-pin bowling lanes, trampolines and a climbing wall. Over a mile of long pristine white sandy beaches and shallow waters are ideal for swimming.
Alongside the many academies mentioned there are many more excellent children’s facilities for all ages available at Children's Wonderland. Young guests can join a number of creative workshops where they can learn to play musical instruments, cook pizza, learn Italian or create their own work of art. The resort features a children’s restaurant where youngsters can enjoy their lunch and dinner; and there are also regular children’s shows at the Piazza Maria Luigia. For those aged between 12 and 17 there is a U-Club teens' club, where teenagers can enjoy both water and land sports. For children 2 years old and under there is also a nursery.
The Acquaforte Thalasso Spa is one of Europe’s top spas and a member of ‘The Leading Spas of the World’ group. It is an exclusive health and beauty centre based on the ancient thermal pools from the nearby 2500 BC Roman town of Nora and offers a Thalassotherapy spa, six outdoor heated pools with added minerals, sauna and Turkish bath, an impressive gym and massage and beauty treatments at a charge. Specialists are also on hand to advise you on the best way to enjoy the Thalasso. There is a bar serving healthy fruit juices and herbal teas.
