Kauai Shores Hotel

Laid-back beach vibes

It’s funky. It’s fresh. It’s oh so charming. We’re not claiming it’s the ultimate in luxury but trust us when we say it’s personality shines through, giving it a real sense of place on the Coconut Coast.

Sink your toes in the sand at this vibrant resort, full of life and timeless charm. Located practically next door to the Coconut Marketplace, a hotspot for shopping and dining, and less than a five-minute drive to Kapaa shopping centre - what more do you need? Low-rise buildings echo the low-key vibe that encompasses the hotel.

There's just one restaurant here with a good variety of dishes on each of the breakfast, lunch and dinner menus. Start your day with Al & Don's Original Pancakes (a classic since 1955), tuck into a fish taco for lunch and perhaps a teriyaki steak for dinner.

Lava Lava Beach Club
A great beachside location where you can sink your toes in the sand as you work your way through the extensive menus.

To accompany the happy hour menu at Lava Lava Beach Club, there's a great selection of flatbread options including the Mango Tango Naan and Chicken Gorgonzola.

Start the day right with a sunrise yoga session before hitting the beach, or pack your backpack and pull up your socks, ready for a day of adventure hiking the trails along the Na Pali Coast or perhaps hop on a bike and explore the local area on two wheels.

The resort has its own swimming pool or you may prefer to go snorkelling, learn to surf or go kayaking down the Wailua River.
