Secrets Bahia Real Resort and Spa
Coastal cool luxury on the Atlantic Ocean
This adults-only resort is a sophisticated seaside treat with great restaurants and pools.
With an envious beachfront position, elegant Andalusian and Moroccan design, palm-lined pools and hammams in the spa, Secrets Bahia Real Resort offers serene escape. There’s also a lively vibe with daily entertainment and extras including kayaking and windsurfing. Restaurants are plentiful, including fresh seafood overlooking the Atlantic, Italian cuisine at Nebbiolo and gourmet dining at Ólio.
Why we love Secrets Bahia Real Resort and Spa
-
Elegant interiors and tranquil surrounds make this the perfect hotel for couples.
-
Lunch on The Bay Lounge terrace with views of Lobos and Lanzarote.
-
Teppanyaki dinner at Himitsu followed by green tea desserts and sake.
-
The spa features a large indoor pool, a sauna and a steam room.
Rooms
The 245 suites are light and spacious and feel even more so thanks to floor-to-ceiling windows and a gently contemporary design based on neutral colours and natural textures. What the lead-in Junior Suite Pool View misses out on in the way of Atlantic vistas, it makes up for in tranquillity; if you want to gaze at the waves from your terrace or balcony, opt for a Junior Suite Ocean View or a Junior Suite Frontal Ocean View. For more space indoors and out in which to relax, upgrade to a Junior Suite Deluxe Garden View; the Junior Suite Deluxe Frontal Ocean View has a particularly generous terrace from which to enjoy the panoramic seascape.
For added benefits, including private sundecks and lounges, there’s a choice of four room types, all with ocean vistas, starting with the Preferred Club Junior Suite Frontal Ocean View. There’s even more space - twice as much, in fact - in the Preferred Club Suite Frontal Ocean View.
Facilities

Nowhere is that sensation of being a treasured visitor more obvious than in the sheer range of cuisines and culinary styles on offer in its many restaurants and bars. There’s a perfect chill-out venue right on the beach, complete with a cool indie-music soundtrack and Bali beds; another laidback waterside venue with a lunchtime menu of super-fresh seafood from the grill; and, of course, an invitingly casual bar by the pool. But there’s plenty to dress up for later in the day as well, from Asian fusion food and stylish Japanese dishes to the flavours of Italy, the Canary Islands and the Mediterranean.
Main Restaurant Start your day with breakfast and freshly brewed coffee whilst overlooking the ocean. Lunch and dinner are served here buffet-style.
Gara Restaurant With views of the gardens and sea, Gara Restaurant pays homage to Garajonay National Park.
Tasca Fandango Head here to try the local cuisine and wines of Spain and the Canary Islands.
Trattoria Club Laurel This traditional trattoria serves wood-fired pizzas at the Beach Club.
El Laurel Open for dinner, El Laurel serves a range of delicacies by the sea.
Celebrate with your loved one at Cave for Two. Sample local cuisine from the tasting menu in a cave steeped in legend. Save some space for quisillo gomero, a caramel pudding accompanied by palm syrup.
