As a brand that’s known for its penchant for parties, The Standard is a great fit for Ibiza. It’s an adults-only hotel with two sociable and lively venues – UP on the rooftop and Jara at the lobby level – both staying open until the early hours. There’s a more relaxed ambience during the day when the refreshing rooftop pool (something of a rarity in Ibiza) will prove hard to resist. Find a deep-cushioned lounger amid the scented lavender and olive trees and beneath a fringed parasol and allow a team of staff to take good care of you, perhaps before a revitalising Vinyasa yoga class.

It’s a great location for exploring the city on foot. You’re also only a ten-minute walk to the port and the ferries to Formentera.
The friendly concierge team is exceptionally tuned into the goings-on around Ibiza and can help arrange reservations and trips.
The fabulous interior design has distinctly cool vibes – staying here feels like you’ve been given access to somewhere special.

Fresh white walls exude a cool confidence in the guestrooms at The Standard. They provide the perfect retreat from the city and clubs, with super comfy beds and wake-me-up rain showers. The Deluxe King Rooms face the calming courtyard while the Supreme Rooms are the rooms to choose if you want an Old Town view as they overlook the Carrer de Bartomeu Vincent Ramon or the Carrer Ramon y Cajal.

A restaurant and bar around the rooftop pool is a social hub of The Standard with something of a 70s feel, thanks to peach florals and fringing on the parasols. It’s open from morning until the small hours and serving an eclectic mix of Japanese and Mexican flavours. Otherwise, you’ve got the lobby-level Jara, which opens for breakfast. Then the mood and ambience evolves throughout the day and late into night.

UP at the Standard
Set next to the rooftop pool and with views over the Old Town, order plates of sushi from a menu inspired by Japan and Mexico.

Jara at The Standard
Open for breakfast, then serving an all-day menu through to 2am, Jara is where you can order farm-to-table dishes and delicious cocktails in a café-meets-brasserie set-up.

There’s a gym on the first floor and Vinyasa yoga classes available.

The hotel can arrange a wide variety of activities. Go hot air ballooning over Ibiza at dawn (complete with a champagne breakfast), hire mopeds or a Land Rover Defender to explore the island, or take a guided hike along Ibiza’s hidden trails.

Private boat trips can be booked on the hotel’s Fjord 40s boat that accommodates up to 11 guests. There’s also snorkelling and scuba excursions available for a charge.
