The Cultural Triangle

Begin your family adventure in the heart of the Cultural Triangle. Your guide can arrange trips to meet the adorable wild elephants in Minneriya National Park, join a village cooking experience and check out the peaceful Dambulla Cave Temple. Back at Aliya Resort & Spa, enjoy swims in the infinity pool, admiring the captivating views of Sigiriya Rock in the distance.

Your next stop is Earls Regency, a hillside retreat on the outskirts of Kandy. Shop for spices and try aromatic street food in the city’s vibrant markets and enjoy a stroll around the pretty lake. Optional outings include a tour of the Royal Botanical Gardens, a visit to the Temple of the Tooth, where you may witness a traditional Puja ceremony, and the chance to learn the art of Kandyan drumming.

Say farewell to your guide and enjoy a night relaxing by the beach before your onward journey to the Maldives. Jetwing Sea is perfectly placed on the golden sands of Negombo, a short drive from Colombo airport.

A quick 90-minute flight will take you to the Maldives, and from here it’s just a 10-minute speedboat ride to the original Maldives resort, Kurumba Maldives. Families are warmly welcomed here, with kids’ clubs for little ones and PlayStation pods and water sports for teens. A highlight of this island is the choice of exceptional dining venues. Vihamanaa has live cooking stations and flavoursome buffets, and à la carte options include Hamakaze for creatively presented sushi and King Thai for aromatic Thai dishes.
