Your next stop is Earls Regency, a hillside retreat on the outskirts of Kandy. Shop for spices and try aromatic street food in the city’s vibrant markets and enjoy a stroll around the pretty lake. Optional outings include a tour of the Royal Botanical Gardens, a visit to the Temple of the Tooth, where you may witness a traditional Puja ceremony, and the chance to learn the art of Kandyan drumming.

Say farewell to your guide and enjoy a night relaxing by the beach before your onward journey to the Maldives. Jetwing Sea is perfectly placed on the golden sands of Negombo, a short drive from Colombo airport.

A quick 90-minute flight will take you to the Maldives, and from here it’s just a 10-minute speedboat ride to the original Maldives resort, Kurumba Maldives.
