The Colonel’s Retreat is a charming guest house in the heart of Delhi. Colonel Anand Kanwar Khanna, a veteran of the British Indian army, together with his wife, Meena began receiving guests into their four-storey townhouse about 20 years ago. The guest house is now run by the Colonel’s son and daughter-in-law who have created a wonderful homestay experience. Your hosts are very well-travelled and enjoy welcoming guests from all over the world. After exploring the city, be sure to return in time for a complimentary afternoon tea, served with the Colonel’s Retreat famous banana bread. Home-style meals are served on the roof terrace which offers wonderful views across the city.

Meals are served on the roof terrace. Breakfast includes homemade seven grain bread, akuri (Indian-style scrambled eggs) and bite-sized Indian dishes. Dinner features more northern cuisine like tandoori chicken, vindaloo and an exciting Delhi street food menu.

Lodi Gardens, Humayun's Tomb and India Gate are all nearby and there is a metro station within walking distance.
