Rooms
There are 176 rooms and suites and each is light and beautifully appointed. Rooms are located in both the restored heritage buildings and the newer tower. Although they differ in décor and design, the two offer the same modern amenities and present a variety of options, with each of the contemporary Tower Rooms featuring a walk-out balcony. Luxury Rooms have city or mountain views, while staying in a Suite or Taj Club Room includes all the benefits of the Club Lounge, including evening canapés, cocktails and private breakfast. One and Two Bedroom Suites are also available, ideal for families and those that enjoy a little more space and luxury.
Located in the Heritage Wing, these rooms have a classical décor reflecting the hotel's historical background. Through the sash windows you have sweeping views across the city.

Facilities
There are two restaurants – a relaxed all-day dining experience can be found at Mint Restaurant and Wood-Fired Grill, and an Indian speciality restaurant, Bombay Brasserie. Both are warm and welcoming and serve outstanding cuisine. Alongside this you’ll find the Taj Lobby Bar and Lounge and The Whisky Lounge, both of which are popular with both locals and guests alike.

Overlooking St. George's Mall, this bistro-style restaurant offers a range of popular international favourites as well as plenty of Cape Malay curries.
Bombay Brasserie
Open for dinner, Taj's signature dining experience combines Indian and Cape Malay cuisine. Popular with locals pre-booking a table here is recommended.
Taj Lobby Bar and Lounge
Enjoy a pre or post dinner drink in the setting of the former banking hall.
The Whisky Lounge
Boasting a collection of fine single malts in an elegant and nostalgic setting.
For an authentic taste of India, The Bombay Brasserie has an extensive menu where aromatic slow-cooked curries are served with naan fresh from the tandoor oven.

After exploring Cape Town's attractions, the J Wellness Circle is a sanctuary for your well being. There's a good choice of traditional Indian holistic treatments as well as therapies such as the Cape Fynbos which uses local botanicals, Atlantic sea salt and rooibos tea powder. Facilities also include an indoor heated pool and fitness centre.
From your central location you're within walking distance of interesting sights including art galleries, museums and markets. The V&A Waterfront is easy accessible in a short taxi ride.
Kids@Taj is the hotel group's programme for children. The activity passport will engage them with a range of exciting adventures. There's a Family Two Bedroom Suite with two living areas and views across the city.
