Superb Hospitality

I love the ocean and lagoon view. Food was delicious. The staff, very friendly and efficient. My room and the bathroom was very clean. Good place to chill.Again love the view of the ocean and lagoon ,never got enough of it.One of the best hotels I've ever visited

Impeccable!

Despite these unprecedented times, the Anantara Kalutara Resort offered absolute luxury, calm and safety for me and my family over the four days we spent at the property. The location of the beautiful resort is truly special, perched between a serene lagoon and the vast expanse of the Indian Ocean. Our days were spent admiring this natural beauty whilst swimming in the resort's two massive infinity pools, having a marvellous Italian lunch at Acquolina and playing endless rounds of table tennis in the games room. The staff were all unbelievably generous and accommodating, going out of their way to make our stay truly special. From leaving Easter eggs in our wonderfully spacious rooms to producing incredible food to fit all our dietary requirements, we certainly felt that the resort was a place we could truly call home for our short stay. The safety precautions around Covid-19 were carefully constructed and perfectly adhered to, making for a very safe and hence thoroughly relaxing experience. A massive thank you to everyone who helped make our stay so memorable and enjoyable- especially during such tough times!

Anantara Kalutara Hotel

I and family were so happy to stay at the Anantara Kalutara Hotel. It is very close to the Ocean (about three minutes walk) clean, with friendly staff. I enjoyed every single minute. Really, no complaints - I would stay there again and recommend it to others. I would like to thank Olu Restaurant manager Rishan Doole, who tries his best to make rest of tourists unforgettable. All the staff and atmosphere of the hotel make you want to return to this great country Sri-Lanka. I dream to return to this amazing Hotel with sincere and warm service. I am grateful for the best vacation of my life.

Book this hotel if you want five star service!

Without doubt this is one of the best hotels I’ve ever stayed in. All of the staff were incredibly friendly, helpful and never made one mistake with any orders or didn’t not go out there way to make sure we had everything we needed. I can’t eat gluten and they had the most amazing gluten free pizza - better than anything I’ve had when traveling around. The hotel is spotlessly clean and the housekeeping are amazing!! The Sri Lankan was excellent quality - don’t miss the prawn curry with red rice!! Yum. Both the pools are amazing and incredibly clean. There is also plenty of spaces to work, such as the library, where my partner worked everyday. The architecture is stunning and its just a great place to enjoy overall. Don’t bother with kayak have a massage or spa treatment instead! You can also book private yoga lesson with Kumara who is excellent. We loved this hotel and enjoyed it all from start to finish. Never any problems with communication or orders being wrong, which is helpful for people like me who are impatient...and the staff are all really happy to support you to help you have the most comfortable of stays. Only suggestion would be to have more vegan options and dairy free options such a healthy dairy free puddings.

Wonderful hotel in crazy times

My wife and I stayed here soon after Sri Lanka opened up and we had a wonderful time. The hotel goes out of its way to make a stay during COVID feel normal. And even though we weren’t allowed to eat local food due to restrictions, the hotel food was fantastic. In addition, we were able to do some expeditions that were comfortably arranged for us. Omega, in particular, was a wonderful hostess. She worked tirelessly to make sure we had a good time. Thank you to Omega and all her staff. We hope to return soon.
