Eco luxury in the mountains
Being at the Alila at Jabal Akhdar is an incredible experience. The resort is absolutely stunning and blends in beautifully with the surrounding mountains. The views are amazing and Alila experience - rooms and food, etc is in a league if it’s own.
Excellent place! Amazing view!
This is the place to be if you want to escape from the heat of other regions. The mountain is just amazing. The hotel is great and well designed in total harmony with the natural place! The food is also very nice and fresh! Great place really!
Excellent checkin/out experience. Professional staff. Very clean. Spacious rooms. The breakfast is good and included various choices. Precautionary measures were followed (COVID-19). We enjoyed cycling and walking. The view is spectacular!
Home away from home
We have been regular guests since 2015 - To us this is the best resort in the Middle East - the location, staff, food, amenities are all incredible. There are more glitzy hotels in the UAE - but this is the only one we call home. Why? Location - Photos do no justice to the spectacular view that greets you. The moment you walk past the lobby into the open patio you are right at the edge of a 2000m deep canyon. Stand at the edge, look down the vertical drop and feel like an eagle. The staff: All the staff are genuinely friendly - Karl ,the hotel’s general manager takes personal interest in the guests - truly a ‘people person’. The Food; Outstanding fine-dining level cuisine - Haidi the chef knows our dietary preferences and always takes the trouble to whip up with something special for us. This kind of personalised service from a chef we have not found anywhere else in the resort this size. Amenities: rooms are big and beds ridiculously wide and bathrooms are similarly huge. High hygiene standards. All rooms have open patios that afford different views of the canyon This is an outdoors oriented resort and if you are a keen hiker or climber you’re gonna have a blast. We recommend especially doing the Via Ferrara climb - You’ll not forget this experience.
