Loy River Song Cruise

Step aboard the boutique Loy River Song, a wholly reimagined antique rice barge.

Each of the four sleek and spacious ensuite cabins is glossy and modern, accommodating two guests each, although they can be connected for families. Your two-night voyage takes you from Bangkok to Ayutthaya on the Chao Phraya River – the River of Kings – and along the way, you’ll have the chance to try traditional Thai pottery making and learn the skills required to create local desserts. There are plenty of opportunities to explore the region’s exquisite temples, from the European-style Wat Niwet Woravihan to the temples of the UNESCO-listed Ayutthaya. Back onboard, a personal chef prepares all your meals with locally sourced ingredients served in the dining room or on the glorious Loy River Song deck.

Day 1

Chao Phraya River

Begin your journey from the Anantara Riverside Bangkok as you cruise towards Koh Kret for a morning immersed in traditional pottery craftsmanship. After enjoying lunch on the boat—whether on the sun deck or in the dining area—you’ll explore Bang Pa-In Palace, the serene summer retreat of the Thai monarchy. Next, visit Wat Niwet Woravihan, a unique European-style temple on an exclusive island. As the sun sets, indulge in a delightful dinner with exquisite wines, preceded by cocktails and canapés. When it's time to unwind, you'll retire to your elegantly designed cabin, which features air conditioning, a plush private bathroom and luxury bedding with robes and slippers.

Day 2

Ayutthaya

Following breakfast on board, you'll explore the canals in Ayutthaya aboard a longtail boat, taking in the vibrant local life along the riverbanks. After returning to the Loy Dream for lunch, you’ll disembark again, joining a class to create traditional Thai desserts. There will be ample time to visit the UNESCO World Heritage-listed temples of Ayutthaya, once the capital of Thailand. The evening will be spent enjoying an exquisite dinner with wine after cocktails and canapes as the ship docks at Wat Bot for your second night on board.

Day 3

Chao Phraya River

Your day starts with a moment of reflection, either with meditation on the deck of Loy River Song or at Wat Bo. You'll then observe the serene morning alms ceremony performed by Buddhist monks. Following this enlightening experience, Loy River Song sets off on the last stretch of your journey, heading back to Anantara Riverside, where you can savor a delightful brunch prepared by the onboard chef.
