Ngorongoro Oldeani Mountain Lodge

Explore craters, lakes and gorges from this luxury lodge overlooking Oldeani Mountain.
This colonial style lodge is situated on a picturesque hill, with spectacular 360-degree views of Oldeani Mountain, the Ngorongoro Crater rim, Lake Eyasi and Lake Manyara. The property is set within 40 acres of pristine gardens, where the lush local vegetation attracts over 130 species of birds. The nearby Ngorongoro Conservation Area offers memorable game drives with the highest density of big game in Africa. Returning to the lodge, guests enjoy magical sundowners and entertaining Swahili language lessons around an outdoor firepit.
The spectacular stone main house includes a lounge, grand central hallway, dining room, spa, boutique, billiards room and children's activity room. Relaxation is taken care of with an impressive rim flow swimming pool, as well as the Ole Sere Spa.

The 50 Deluxe rooms and the Livingstone Suite enjoy fine views of the surrounding area. All rooms are tastefully decorated with mountain views and cosy fireplaces for the cooler evenings.

Fine food and drinks are served at the Crater Restaurant & Explorers Bar. When you dine you’ll have your own waiter for your entire stay who will get to know your personal preferences. There's a Maasai boma on site, where you can enjoy African food and entertainment.

The spa offers a range of relaxing post-activity treatments.
The lodge's strategic location means you can spend days exploring all the surrounding national parks. Visit the Hadzabe bushmen near Lake Eyasi, enjoy game drives on the crater floor, which is home to over 30,000 animals, go bird spotting at Lake Manyara and discover historic Olduvai Gorge. You can also take a nature walk with a bird watching expert on site or take a trip to Oldeani coffee farm to roast your own cup of coffee.
Eco-friendly features such as solar power and water boreholes means the camp doesn't have to compete with local communities for resources. Their plan is to ensure that the community benefits from the lodge, through employment and projects such as building schools, sanitary facilities and medical clinics.
