Andaz Peninsula Papagayo Resort

Knockout views and natural beauty

A chic family-friendly resort overlooking Culebra Bay

Set on a remarkable 1400-acre wildlife-rich peninsula, Andaz has been sustainably designed using everything from local bamboo to indigenous woods. Borrowing snorkelling gear and paddle boards to make waves over Culebra Bay is reason enough to visit but other temptations include a forest spa, river-style pools, a cool collection of curated activities and contemporary rooms that feel like treehouse hideaways.

Why we love Andaz Peninsula Papagayo Resort

  • Three great beaches with secluded sunbathing spots and beach-to-beach boat transfers

  • All rooms and suites come with floor-to-ceiling windows and either Culebra Bay or forest views

  • The resort is designed by architect Ronald Zürcher and peppered with bamboo and driftwood accents

  • The Champagne body scrub at ONDA spa is a decadent treat, with tropical forest always in sight
