Florblanca

Surf, yoga and sunsets on a beach untainted by tourism

In the small surf town of Santa Teresa, Florblanca is a cool vibe escape of coconut sorbets, stylish villas and barefoot adventure.

It’s good vibrations and simple pleasures at this artfully rustic rainforest-covered retreat. Villas are bohemian and beachy, iguanas scurry past a beautiful pool and monkeys hide in the trees. Days are spent ocean-bound, borrowing surfboards or riding waves with a local instructor. There’s a renowned yoga dojo, a wild spa suspended over waterfall pools and hook-to-fork, farm-to-table dining with your toes in the sand.

Florblanca is a scenic and sustainable escape, whose gardens are chemical-free and whose native species of plants and trees offer safe habitat for animals including monkeys, birds and mammals. Their location is rich in biodiversity and staff are trained in how to protect sea turtle nesting. Organic waste is turned into compost to feed the gardens and natural rocks ensure rainwater drains away properly to avoid soil depletion. Energy-efficient lighting is used throughout the hotel and UV lamps purify water. You’ll also eat clean and kind here.
