We have recently been in Nepal and due to CoVid 19 and many flight cancellations we had to change our bookings at The Dwarika 3 times. The hotel was fantastic, they did not charge us any cancellation fees and in fact upgraded our rooms when we finally landed on their doorstep. I have been wanting to stay at this hotel for sometime and am so pleased I finally got there. The buildings are beautiful and it is hard to take in all the wonderful details as there are so many. Cannot say enough about the staff, they were friendly, helpful and had amazing attention to detail. We had a few meals at the hotel and the food was delicious. Our room, an Executive Suite, was wonderful. Thank you to all the staff at The Dwarika. We hope to return!
Kathmandu is so busy it such a nice relaxing feeling coming to the hotel. The staff are exceptional and friendly. The rooms are very large and beds a super comfortable. Don’t miss the dinner at the Nepalese restaurant! Fix 6 course meal with great service. The restaurant for buffet breakfast and all day dinning was wonderful too. Highly recommend this hotel!
A Living Museum
We stayed four nights at Dwarika’s while exploring Kathmandu and surrounds. Everywhere you look there is an antique to catch your eye. We were warmly welcomed on arrival. Our room was spacious with a large bathroom. The room had all of the modern conveniences while maintaining its special charm. The staff was wonderful. Always warm, friendly and eager to please. As others have said it is an oasis in crazy Kathmandu. Magical!
A Special Place
Everything about this hotel is absolutely wonderful. The architecture, the staff, the food, the rooms....all wonderful. We never wanted to leave the premises! Our room was spacious and there are lots of places in the common areas to sit and relax. The library bar was warm and cozy. Dinner at the Nepalese restaurant was a truly unique experience. The staff could not do enough for us .
Only stayed for dinner and drink, very impressive property
We only stayed here for dinner and a couple drinks after coming back to Kathmandu from the Dwarika Dhulikhel Resort and waiting for our night flight. We didn’t get a chance to spend a night at Dwarika Kathmandu but we were super impressive by the property. The construction took decades as we heard and the attention to details is amazing, every door knob, pillar, window frame were well-considered by the owner and designers. We enjoyed walking through every corner of this hotel. We had dinner at the main restaurant, not very impressive, run out of steak at 6:30pm (while its sister property at Dhulikhel, which is over an hour from Kathmandu never run out of steak). Had drinks at the bar - Fugion, great service, good cocktail. I will try spending a couple nights here at Dwarika Kathmandu the next time I’m in Nepal, but perhaps not the main restaurant. I saw the Japanese restaurant have impressive menu including hot pots and Teppanyaki!
